A little more progress on the hotel.

Version 1 is getting slowly closer to being finished and then I can start on another version.

What, no fire escape? They look sharp, keep up the great work.
Your hotel and hospital need names (signs)

They will each have a sign, and by the way, do you know how to make a fire escape, I have no skill in fire escapes, as well, they would also raise the poly level up, which in itself could be a problem.

I actually tried to make a fire escape and was no good at it. A simple structure like this is one thing, but something as complicated as a fire escape is a totally different thing.

Of course, when I'm done with Railworks the Big City won't no longer be something a payware creator can make. Of course, freeware creators can use payware items, but then it doesn't make the route entirely free to the community. This will make it where anyone can have a big city in their route, even if they can't afford a payware route.

As well, does anyone have any pictures of large vintage buildings from the streets of New Jersey.

The Van Antwerp Hotel version 1 is now complete and in game. Now for a couple more versions of the building and then on to a new building for the game.

Here is my new apartment in the game, now for a couple more versions of these hospitals, maybe one more version of this hotel and a couple more of this apartment and then on to another building.

The city street is slowly growing. Soon another building to add to the street.

Version 3 of the apartment is finished. Once I finish this route I'm thinking of starting a route, something that goes through the big city.

Working on another building for the set. Don't have a picture to show yet, but it will be a 11 story apartment. 10 floor apartment space and 1 lobby section on the bottom. The lobby is the usual 2 stories high to be the exact. Based on some buildings I've seen in the past.

And here's the secret to how I make my large buildings in sketchup so they don't end up too heavy in polygon level. The insides are hollow, just like a HO scale model building.

This set will also most likely include some 20 story buildings as well upcoming.

The test version of the new apartment in game. The size checked out pretty well so soon I'll begin to paint it into it's several versions.

The new apartment is the tallest one standing right beside my hotel model.

Unfortunately though, it might still be another month until I am able to release the set, if I'm even finished by then.

Basically I'll release it with at least enough buildings to build a small city.

Version 1 of my new New York Apartment 2 completed and in game. This apartment will also be included with the set. The new building is the 10 story building standing beside the hotel.

Looking very good. You have come very far in your models. Lots of buildings from that time had water towers
( to make sure they had water pressure for fires and personal use) and elavator shafts on the roofs, with roof access.
Here's some shots from Mafia2 (great game). IMHO, they match the era perfectly.
Keep up the great work.

I'll probably make a water tower, but it will be a separate item so it won't be part of the buildings themselves, do it this way to save on poly level some.
