So we are trying to help you with that part. Can you give us a few more details to what you are seeing with RWDecal?

WinRAR is called Shareware. If you choose not to pay for it, then it will still work but you'll just keep getting a brief nag screen, that can be closed. Same with WinZip.

Did you download 7zip from this site http://www.7-zip.org/ ? If it installed a bunch of unwanted stuff, you probably didn't pay close enough attention during the install. If I remember right, you can uncheck any of that stuff it asks to install, unless you downloaded it from somewhere else - then all bets are off.

I just uninstalled 7zip and downloaded it again, from the developers site - linked to in my previous post, and reinstalled it, just to check the install process.
I didn't get any prompt about installing anything extra and there was nothing extra installed. No toolbar or any stuff.

Is it safe to assume you didn't download it from the link I gave?

Guess it's my day to be the fire hydrant? !*roll-laugh*! I linked him to CNET.com, best trusted download site on the net.

I think we have two issues here. Maybe not English first language. Next not sure what exactly the problem is. Gonna wait and see if we can get a little clarification as to the exact issue. !*salute*!

I always try to go to the developers site to download any program. Other sites tend to add stuff to a download, like toolbars and junk.
I am surprised that CNet does that though.

They can only do so much. You always have to look for those additional little checkboxes. Yahoo tool bar and stuff. CNET makes sure there is no malware/ virus. Them and Majorgeeks.com, my two favorite sites.

But we still need to figure out the problem ps is having. !*don-know!*

rwdecal tells me this:
Fatal error:

You must have a valid devloper folder configured.

The DEVELOPER folder must be within the "Soruce" folder of your RailWorks installation.

Then it says where the folder should be (C:\Program Files (x86)\.....

OK, now we are getting somewhere.

Yes, you need to create your provider and product folders under the source folder. For example for my route I have Source\DMV\CC_Route, since my initials are DMV (I am the provider or Developer) and my route I am creating is the Capital Corridor (my product).

You may need additional folders under this, and usually this happens when you setup your route. There are a variety of posts about this on this forum and on others. I can't find the link that I used when I first created my route, but I did find this one which seems to cover all the bases.

I think others will point you to using RWTools (another great "must have" tool) but I never used it to create a route (yet).

That's usually where the problem is. People just keep clicking OK or Next without reading what what's on the screen, just accepting the defaults during an install.

I'm not sure if I'll ever do this... btw, one thing I hate is that all sd70ace repaints are sd70pack 1, not for the sd70 pack 2 so I can't get any sd70ace downloads :(
