Really nice indeed.

F and GP units in the old paint schemes we need.

F's are Warbonnet or Freight cigar band blue? GP''s still Zebra striped?

Thank you both!

During this time period, the ATSF used the GP7/9 locomotives on the Redlands Loop. Fortunately, ET44C4 was gracious enough to make some Zebra and Bookend paint scheme GP9s for the route. Here are a few shots showcasing those repaints...and of course, the Redlands scenery.

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. College started and I've been slowly chipping away at Mentone. Luckily for you all, there has been a decent amount of progress. So lets get started.

This is at the intersection of Wabash Ave. and Colton Ave. Here, the ATSF (left) continues through "downtown" Mentone and the SP (right) turns off to parallel Colton Ave. toward its terminus at Crafton Ave. Straight ahead is the modern day C&S Powder Coating which I am not too sure what it was back in '56, but the entire structure was there back then.

Here is another view of the intersection looking South.

Looking Southwest along the SP right-of-way paralleling Colton Ave.

Looking North on the South end of the tracks. Here there are homes on the East side that back up into more orange groves.

And finally, here is an overview of all of the recent work on the Mentone / Redlands city borders. Hopefully I will be able to get the next update out a lot quicker than I did this one. The plans moving forward are to continue into Mentone and stop at Mentone Blvd / SR 38 and return to Redlands and move West toward San Bernardino. Once there, I plan to release phase one. But, that's still a long ways away. !*roll-laugh*!

The lighting ambience definitely caught my attention.
The location and era of the route will be a success.

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately, progress has been pretty slow this past week, because my Google Maps is not wanting to work again, but I've made some progress in Mentone none the less. So let us begin!

This is looking east at the Nice Ave. crossing. This scene is almost done. On the left where the trailer is, is a packing house that I need to finish up.

These shots show that progress has finally made it to State Route 38 in Mentone! Here we see the freight house and the housing development to the west of the tracks. I know this one was short, but its progress non the less. Hope you all enjoy! And I hope I'll have more progress next update!

Very nice! I grew up in Highland (unfortunately long after they ripped up the tracks through town) so I'm really looking forward to seeing this route progress!

Very cool to hear! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be getting to Highland for quite some time. I'm a sucker for detail. !*roll-laugh*!

Well I have some updates for y'all! Work has continued in Mentone. I just have a few shots here for you guys, but there definitely was not a shortage of work done. Work was focused on the area around the Mentone freight depot at SR-38. With the addition of Wayne's CVP route, I was able to use a far more accurate building for the freight depot. Hope y'all enjoy!

Those crossings are from the RCAP pack.

Well, after a long stint of not posting updates on the route, I bring good news. The project is back up and running. I finally drug myself to reinstall everything needed to continue after my battle with the game itself. In between college finals, I've been able to get some work done in the Mentone area. My focus is around the intersection of State Route 38 and Opal Ave. In this section, I will continue work to the Santa Ana River bridge about a mile north of this intersection. Hope y'all enjoy the first Redlands Loop post of 2020! Progress has begun once again!
