I picked up Clear Creek on sale for the narrow-gauge assets

But what I found, were some really cool and surprisingly high quality monolith stones! Excellent for mountain shaping!

You do realise that this type of activity has been outlawed by the Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of less talented (or zero talent) individuals !*roll-laugh*!

Certainly wish you would reconsider a public release.

Are those rocks parts of asset blocks? How long does it take you to place all these?

What is deterring me from working on the Central Australia railway are the patterns of the vegetation. As in adjusting irregular asset blocks for near infinity to reflect the positions of 90% of the (noticeable) shrubs (in GE).

But then it's possible that I'm obsessing a little bit too much with precise placement, and I assume that most route builders just tend to have a moderate density of randomly ordered foliage in one specific area. Honestly, I try to do every creek bed etc, you name it. This image shows the spread out nature of the foliage, which makes it awkward to place the asset blocks due to the gaps. The darker sections of the terrain presumably indicate grass being present.

My sincerest apologies if this is drifting off topic, but I am curious.

The simplest way to simulate those clusters of bushes / rocks/ etc is to use a standard asset block, set the layout to 'Angular Random' and then tap 'Randomise' until you get the formation you like. Changing the density will effect the look of the asset formations also.

I do a good mix of asset blocks and manually placed items to get all the scenery to blend as seamlessly as possible.

You'll find though, that you don't notice the lines as much from a horizontal view (IE looking at it from a human's perspective) as you do from a birds eye view. So it's not as big of an issue for distant items. I'm kind of lazy and I just reshape some asset blocks and use multiple small ones to fill in certain areas instead of 1 big irregular one.

I might, but I dunno yet. As with Bumblebutt, this route uses a lot of assets from other routes (and a couple Mike made for me). But this time I stuck with DLC assets so it's easier to remember what is & isn't missing.
