For those of you D/L the containers the rest of them will follow shortly. I'm not real excited with the Winter effect so I'm going to take a little time and see if I can get it more realistic on the rest of what I have done. You can hook these up in any combination you like and if you are really hard core and want to swap out the top and bottom or what shows as a single all you need to do is rename the container 1 and 2 the other way around and it will show the top and bottom ones the other way around.

Re: SD45-2T containers *** NON ENGLISH INSTALLATION ****

Unread postby QcRail » Tue Nov 07, 2017 11:56 am

Hi All,

I installed the first 4 Gunderson Twin-Stack produced by Buzz and «What the H....», although his instructions are clear and the installation is quite straight forward.
So what happened? I use a French language OS and French version of almost all my softwares, even the Steam games (and I'm truly FULL-bilingual !DUH! ). As we say «You can take the Frenchman out of France but you cannot take the French nor the baguette out of the man» !*roll-laugh*!

Seriously!, here is an interesting lesson for all non-english installation of the FINE gunderson skin from Buzz. As a demo, I'll use the «GundersonTwinStack_A_L1» from his addon «GundersonTwinStack-Hyu_JB». Let's first look at the header with railcar ID:

<Name d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack-Hyu_JB A L1</Name>
<BrowseInformation>
<iRailVehicleBlueprint-cBrowseRVInformation>
<DisplayName>
<Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
<English d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack-Hyu_JB A L1</English>
<French d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</French>
<Italian d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</Italian>
<German d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</German>
<Spanish d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</Spanish>
<Dutch d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</Dutch>
<Polish d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</Polish>
<Russian d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1</Russian>
<Other/>
<Key d:type="cDeltaString"></Key>
</Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
</DisplayName>
</iRailVehicleBlueprint-cBrowseRVInformation>
</BrowseInformation>

»»»» You will note that ONLY the English name is the proper nomenclature for this rekin, All others bear the ORIGINAL DTM naming - thus once in the game, only the first name will show and the reskin will NEVER appear in the object windows choice, while it is well installed in the Assets folder structure.

NO panic the solution is simple, you only have to change the «Gunderson Twin-Stack A L1» to the proper naming of your language (Steam and TS):

<cWagonBlueprint>
<Name d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack-Hyu_JB A L1</Name>
<BrowseInformation>
<iRailVehicleBlueprint-cBrowseRVInformation>
<DisplayName>
<Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
<English d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson Twin-Stack-Hyu_JB A L1</English>
<French d:type="cDeltaString">Gunderson TS Hyund-JB A-1</French>
<Other/>
<Key d:type="cDeltaString"></Key>
</Localisation-cUserLocalisedString>
</DisplayName>
</iRailVehicleBlueprint-cBrowseRVInformation>
</BrowseInformation>

N.B. While I have to make a change, why not delete the redundant languages not in use *!twisted!* . Now every Gunderson well car should be visible in your game.

Oups! forgot, THANKS Buzz for your quick contribution !*cheers*!

Did you make your own snow layer in Photoshop or ...?

!!**sorry**!! I just got lazy on this. There was a lot of repetition in the pasting so I just skipped over that. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Had a thought. Fluffy snow rarely stick to a surface, but wet snow and sleet will stick to surfaces - the surface facing train direction; thus the front face should have more white as well as the near side, let say 20%, nearest to front would also show accumulation with little at rear. Cars parked could have a good foot of accumulation; just an idea to share !*don-know!*

I've given up a long time ago. I use everything in English. Localization has never worked properly, there's always a problem and if you need support it gets worse (try showing a French-language screenshot in a forum).
