I second the request for a Boston and Maine livery. But it should be the red and gold one instead of the blue one.

Now that I've found this picture, I think I may make it my avatar.

BNSF runs a few old Yellow Bonnet Geep's in the Alameda Corridor out here, still in Santa Fe livery. Just shunting duty.

Ok guys thanks for the shots. Did Frisco have any?

Ok, I think I have between 10 and 15 in mind. Will not promise any just yet, I have lots to get through!
Anyway onto cabs..

I see there are really 3 versions, which control stands should I go for? Images and thoughts welcome, I want to get my plan in action for monday.
Tom made a start on the cab last week and handed it over to me to finish as he is needed on NEC.

thanks for all your help so far guys.

regards

I think Frisco only had GP7s in their fleet
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=50868&nseq=20 this type of control stand i want to see, but as long as i know (i am not sure) later produced locomotives had this type http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=105620&nseq=15

Hi, thanks.
Yes thats what we have found out and the low nose has a slight variation on the later one.

I will aim to do the earlier one and take it from there.
Like the SW1500 there is not a great deal documented on the cabs (image wise)

best regards

Derek
p.s. Thanks for the confirmation the GP7/Frisco.

Victor
PS thanks fo doing the Geep !!*ok*!!

most of CN's Green and Gold locos were long hood forward, converted to short hood when repainted/updated because many got the nose chopped down for a lownose geep........one more reason to do the green and gold CN loco!

New York Central had long hood forward and some of them had torpedo tube air reservoars wich i love.
http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=152799&nseq=1
http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=83349&nseq=12
both the pictures are with torpedo tube air reservoars.
here is a helpfull site about NYC GP9s http://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/dr1822.htm
p.s. the NYC units can also be repeinted later in penn central and conrail colors.

Here's a GP9 Control Stand outside a locomotive as a display.

Here's a shot of a GP9 cab using a Fisheye Lens (Blah, hate those things) NOTE: This is a Norfolk and Western unit, thus the duel control stands: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 643&nseq=4

Back wall of the cab. GP9: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 05&nseq=26
