I've updated the A3 a little
PRR Class A3 8.1.jpg

The only things that were added/updated are:

-Updated the smokestack and the steam & sand domes

-Updated the shape of the firebox slightly

-Added the start of the reverser linkage and basic springs

I've also started working on the Class H3 2-8-0 to go with this

It's not much, but it's a start. Here's ultimately what it'll look like when finished

I've added:

-Non-final drive wheels (I'm unsure of the center and spokes & I need to make the center two flangeless.)

-The pilot axle and the start of its frame assembly

-The steam chest and cylinder assembly

-The cross-head and cross-head support

I'm going to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania next weekend to take reference photos of the only surviving member of the class, #1187. Once I've done that, progress should be fairly consistent.

Sorry about the lack of updates on pretty much everything, but I'm still working on stuff. I haven't added much, but what I have added is pretty noticeable.

Here's an example of the little details I'm hoping to include with this and all of my models

Here's the status of the smokebox door. The door itself, shape-wise, is nearly finished. Just a few more things need to be added and done before I'm happy with it.

(I don't think I've mentioned this, but I HATE doing smokebox doors. It'll take a lot for me to be happy with the final result.)

Here's a couple pictures of what the final smokebox door should look when finished.

Good luck in getting any of these running.

Anyways, that H3 is looking great.

Current status of the H3, everything is still very much a work in progress. The trucks under the tender are temporary, I mainly wanted to see what the tender looked like behind the engine.

That H3 is looking very exciting, and I am thoroughly not a PRR enthusiast, but finally some smaller steam, from the turn of the century era, has me very excited.
