And nice CSX collection NStrains! You may or may not have an SD60 in that fleet later on... *!!wink!!*

Hmm. I could go into the textures themselves and check if the shades are different.

That's what I did and everything looked fine. !*don-know!* You're welcome to prove me wrong though!

It's a difference in Shaders used on the number decals and the engine model.

Looks like I proved you wrong, there is a difference in the color. Look closely, or even select the colors directly from the picture into your editor:

Those spirit units look pretty nice! I'll go play around with the numbers again, and once that's done the widecabs will be ready to go.

Those SD60s are just an idea I've been thinking about.. BUT, never say never!

Edit: I'm at a loss. !*hp*! here's what happens whenever I edit the numbers and save them afterwards. For what it's worth, I'm using RSBinTool to export the files, and the exported files are in .dds format.

Try exporting the dds data from RSbintool. Once that's done open the exported dds data with whatever program you use to edit textures. Cover the number with the grey/white checkerboard and then put the new number in. Once done try saving it as a DXT3 or a DXT5 (RSbintool always changes its mind for me on DXT3 or DXT5). Afterwards save it. Run the sim to check everything is ok.

Hey, don't sweat it! Once you watch those tutorials, it will give your repainting skills a makeover! !!*ok*!!
ANd as a 'thank you' gift, I'm uploading those spirit units above. !*salute*!

BTW, for the numbers I took the color from the dash 8 color/lighting enhancement.

Thank you for the thank you gift! :D and I'm looking forward to watching the decal tutorial the most, that way I can know how to change numbers and logos for future repaints.
