well i guess there will be no 3 truck shay's running up the first branch, for some reason they cannot take the turns that i have on there. the 2 truck shay's run this branch fine. the 3 truck shay's will run mainly on the NP mainline between the towns ferrying lumber loads. i will try and make the other branches able to accept the 3 truck shay's. now scince this is a route for you logging railroad lovers, what should i put next on the main branch? a small coal mine or anoter logging camp. don't forget at the end of the branch there will be a coal mine. right now i only have the 1 logging camp that you have seen in the screenshots. i am making anoter small branch further up the main branch, this secondary branch will have a short 8% grade with a short runaway track because of the grade. this one will be a logging camp but between this one and the first one what should be there, it is up to the people! whatever is requested the most will be there, and you are able to submit anything else you think should go in this spot for a industry. i hope someone has an interesting idea for this. :D

as the work continues further i have added the second secondary branch leading to a logging camp way up in the mountains. this one so far has 3 switchbacks and one of them doubbling as a runaway ramp with a 10% uphill grade. i have some photos showing the helix with more detail, and the main branchis summit. ENJOY! *!greengrin!*

i am not shure what the final length will be but i am estimating around 20-30 miles of track. perfict for the slower shays, and lots of switching on this route!!

I have the Logging Crane in RW.

Image

One disappointment is that apparently TransferPoints for container loads will not support a particle file as a child object. What that means is that I can not get smoke to come out of the chimney of the steam engine. I am still working on this but do not expect much success. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to make it work.

I still need to add the sound and then will send 'thecanadianrail' a beta copy for him to try in his logging route.

it looks great, is it possible to make it with different kinds of logs like the ones from Britkits or Golden Age's flatcars? the seperated log cars can't be loaded.

The bin file can be edited so that any asset you own can be used. I used the default Kuju RailSimulator log load for the base model. The read me that will accompany the Logging Crane will have easy to understand instructions on how to change the load.

Hello,

I have two problems with the logging crane:

- When loading wagons* it moves but none log is seen.
- When unloading wagons* it doesn't move at all.

*I've tried default Ssylms wagon and other 3rd party one.

Cheers,
edsolis
