Thanks Krellnut, and all! I'm learning as I go, so hopefully the scenery keeps getting better.

More plains/farmland in the Shasta Valley around Grenada, CA. The trackside vegetation and scenery is pretty easy since the line is dead straight, but the distant scenery is slowing me down because of how far you can see.

Looking good Boosted.
I'm finally up to tunnel 41 on the East Side of Donner.
I was reading through some of your old posts. A person does get better with experience, but then I want to go back and redo some things. Now I'm trying to figure out where to draw the line on improvements to previously done work. **!!bang!!**

Thank you all for the kind words! Eric, your work and dedication on your DP re-do has been a fuel for me on this project. I've definitely adopted a few techniques I've seen you use also !!*ok*!!

I have another mile and a half of scenery roughed in in the Shasta valley so far tonight, as well as finishing up the townsite at Gazelle.

They aren't quite the scarlet and grey 'Cadillacs' that once patrolled this route, but they'll do...

Somewhere in my library, I have some incomplete SP cadillacs, a tiger, an orange and silver, and a bloody nose. IIRC they are only needing to be set up with Michaels latest workup. I'll see what I can find. Good work so far! (and that is from a truck driver who ran I-5 LA to SEA..)

Thanks Mike!! That means a lot, as I haven't actually been through that area in person in almost 15 years! I'm at the mercy of memory, a stack of books photos and slides, and google maps/street view to ensure that I'm being accurate and authentic with the scenery.

This is with his latest model version... all the same Loco, the EMD Demo 990 (which was bi-directional, thus the feathers on both ends.)

There are some tweaks needed, but no big obstacles. As time permits (the wife is improving) I'll finish these and get them in the library.

It's funny, because I emailed Michael about repainting these into SP, but never got around to it. Looking good. And BoostedFridge's scenery is looking amazing!
