I'm currently working on extending the line. I figured the route needed a large section of high speed running, as well as a freight yard.
Unfortunately the editor keeps crashing for me, so progress has been slow the last two weeks. I'm hoping the update on Tuesday will solve some of those problems so I can get back to work.

West Mesa; The tracks exiting to the left go to Arlington.

Not a very big yard, but then again, it's really only meant to handle the local freights run by the ALRR.

South of West Mesa there's the town of Sanslow. There's only two sidings and one station, so this is more of a waypoint than an area of interest.

The town isn't as big as Arlington or Lewistown, but it's more spread out so it seems bigger than it really is.

Heading north of West Mesa, you follow the shores of what would be the *Real* Salton Sea. The body of water on the original route was too small to pass as the Salton Sea so I did a do-over here.

One of the many questionable trailer towns that line the sea.

The northern end of the route is the town of Heat. Three sidings for some light switching, but like Sanslow, this is more of a waypoint than a dedicated town.

Notice how smooth the new section is compared to the old line. I wanted this new area to emphasize fast freight running as opposed to local switching like the old section did.
