Thought I would bring the issue back to this thread - here are the missing trestle pics.
1.jpg

This is the trestle down by warehouse in Anthony

2.jpg

this is the major trestle leaving the bottom camp

3.jpg

This is the last one heading for the first portal.

Trains pass over them ok, there is just no track showing. Even the last one with the 10 foot gap doesn't cause too many issues. Thought it might have needed a graphics tweak (all my settings are set to highest - running Nvidia 560Ti card) and the original COA is fine.

Just a mystery...

I've installed the skin pack but I don't have a BBCLCoRR folder under the Shay B or Shay C; only the Vulcan.
Am I missing something?

There is a "roadnames" folder with a couple of TDPCGX files that I don't know what to do with.

Thanks!

There a two different trestle files in the FreewareBBC.zip file. You didn't accidentally forget one, did you?

I think I led you astray. The tracks are separate from the trestle. When I look in the editor it shows SR ATSF. There are three versions of scalerail. Make sure you have all three. Good luck!

Unfortunately since I don't have the files at hand at the moment I can't do much. I might still have the original download Shayfan gave me on my PM folder though. I'll do some digging to-morrow and see if I come up with anything.

Hi mate...
Thanks for this pointer too. I have re-acquired the SR files from 3D and will install and see if it makes a difference. Cant hurt at least...
I notice on your avatar D&RG 481. Have a soft spot too for the Rio Grande narrow gauge - did a 4 day photographers charter on the C&TS in late September. I posted a few pics here : viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4253&start=285 and the next page...

Would LOVE a proto NG route - there is so much source material available and so many preserved locos. can always hope...

*!!thnx!!*

I worked on the periphery with Rick and Tim on the Durango & Silverton route (have been there a handful of times) but it would be great to see something like Alamosa through to Durango (or Silverton) with a stable of K's

Anyway, back to my problem - downloaded the Scalerail packs and the update from 3D and reinstalled, just to make sure nothing was missing, but to no avail - still minus my tracks **!!bang!!** Did you use the freeware or hi-res payware versions in your build? How do you determine just what an asset is called in the route editor - ie, if I click on it and find out its actual name in the original COA route, it might give me a pointer to what is missing. Failing that, I am tempted to uninstall it, clean it out and start again and see if that makes a difference. !*hp*!

Below is a snip of the BBCLC Tracks.bin. It looks to me like a piece of ScaleRail open-deck bridge track using a trackrule from G-Trax. Durango and Silverton I think? I didn't use that. Using too many track rules can make it harder to share a route. I don't have the route loaded so I can't check it out directly for you. The original BLC in COA 4.5 used only GN tracks and trackrules and of course if you can see those tracks in the COA it proves you have those installed. Do you have D&S installed?

Show off *!!wink!!*

re D&S - to be honest, not sure. I did while I was testing it prior to release - will double check. Certainly looks like may have finally narrowed it down. Thanks for looking into this for me... *!!thnx!!*

You gotta love steam locomotives in the mountains! Or anywhere. I go out to Colorado every year to ride dirt bikes. More often than not we go to the San Juans and usually make a trip into Silverton to see the train come in. I love the high country; it cleans a years worth of crap out of my brain in a week.

I saw your photos from this year and last year (?); great stuff! Is that something they do every year? I didn't see anything on their web site.

Back on topic, hopefully installing the DSNGRR will solve your problem with the trestles. !*cheers*!

Hallelujah !!

I checked and as I thought, the D&S Route was already installed, so it wasn't that I was missing. So, uninstalled the sucker, uninstalled the Scale Rail dependencies and re-installed and what do you know - all is now good !!*ok*!! No idea what is was, just extremely annoying.

Now about all I am missing is $40 of Donner Pass vegetation and I am afraid unless I can get that on sale REALLY cheap, it is going to stay missing. I have no interest in modern US freight lines, so the only reason to buy is for the veg. I hadnt realised there was so much f so many routes in this. Hopefully it will be on sale around "Black Friday" or failing that, Xmas.

Thanks to every body that persevered and gave me pointers along the way - so appreciated...

*!!thnx!!*

The trees are the best part :D

Without trees... there's nothing to cut down!

P.S. DP is definitely fun to run steam on, I like to take double to triple headed mallets up with 400 cars at 2am during a blizzard, gets intense :D

On an unrelated note...

Everyone loves a slinky!
