Every 10 mins? I think it would be cool to set a time for it to go off in a scenario when you place it. Let's say there's a thunderstorm, the tornado sirens go off and all trains are ordered to stop. Kinda like what happened with UP in Greensburg.

Every 10 minutes may get annoying. Then again... who would be around to hear it.

Having it at noon on a freeroam would be OK, or if you wrote a scenario and you timed it so that it would go off as the player passed by would also work. I would hesitate to try and add it to the track network to have it go off every time a train passes (just like a hot box) because it just doesn't happen like that in real life.

I think the time of day thing would be pretty easy if I remember correctly the examples in the dev docs.

I agree with Papa, im going to use that LUA script instead of the siren going off every like 10 minutes.

You would need a LUA no matter what.

BTW Chacal was thinking the same thing I was, just that I had already posted it. You will find he is a great resource for information.
