I have a bell you guys can use until the sound pack comes out. It's the bell 765 use to have before its rebuild. I converted it from MSTS. It be good on other berkshires because 765's bell sounds much different from other NKP Berks that I have seen in the Steam & Diesel on the Nickel Plate Road dvd. If you guys want it let me know.

CSX2057 is right, these things do take time. I am still working on the pack but if for some reason I do have to stop and concentrate on other things I will simply release the works to the community and let everyone run rampant with it :D

However for the moment, back to work!

I have an idea for your next project. How about a NKP 765 guest whistle pack. A pack that could included a PRR 3 Chime (high pitch) PRR 3 Chime (low pitch) a C&O 2789 whistle,N&W hooter whistle, NYC 5 chime, Rock Island whistle, that unknown guest whistle 765 used on many New River Train trips, just to name a few.

I found this interesting article about the bell and whistles on the NKP Berks. Apparently, all of the berkshires had nathan 6 chimes. http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/NKP/message/2542 This article explains why they sound slightly different from NKP 765's nathan.

Some people on youtube are saying that the unknown guest whistle on 765 in the 80's and 90's was C&O 614's whistle.

Excellent work. Rick had some great models, but unfortunately, to my ear at least, his sound always let him down. The locos had no "presence" it was just a very mechanical lightweight chuff. The work to date sounds amazing. *!!thnx!!* for the hard work...

!*cheers*!

I was wondering the same thing since the S-2 is back for purchase.
"If you really needed a diesel locomotive right away, then go ahead and order a ALCO. But if you could wait for real quality, then go for an EMD or a GE".

The sounds are modified on the weathered Birks put out before. Sound mods by XDriver.

Buzz

Is it possible to package XDriver's Weathered Berk sounds as a Mod? Or can we just alias the addresses to get the RSC Berkshire and RSC Northern to sound as great?

You are going to have to bear with me here. Did you just d/l this? And if you did is it in the RSC folder or the GTrax folder? Mine and I am sure Joe's loco were from the original and in the GTrax folder.
