You know 1225 and her sister over here in Grand Haven are of a different design than NKP 765. You look along the top of the boiler and you can see that. Other stuff too. One has roller bearings and the other doesn't. The whistles are most definitely different. But these differences are subtle and no one but a Berkshire buff would know or care. Plus NKP's Berks never pulled passenger trains in actual service. They were strictly for high speed freight. Passenger locomotives generally have different size drivers. But it's kinda like pulling the NKP's Bluebird train with a FA re-paint rather than the proper PA. But again who cares? I get yelled at whenever I mention these sort of things in these forums. So press on. I'm sure I'll download and enjoy your re-paint whenever you get it done. Take care.

NkP1

Please keep the pressure up every chance you get. It is the prototypes that drive the hobby.

But I ask the 'rivet counters' to give us some slack. I know that a perfect model may not exist for our favorite prime mover, but a steam loco with the proper wheel arrangement and with a beautifully done repaint applied, can be just as pleasing to the eye of the beholder. And to me it can be just as satisfying as a standin while awaiting the real McCoy to be done.

Its perfectly fine. We'll just say the PM has refurbished one that the NKP was going to scrap. Happened more often than we realise.

Dude,Ik they're different models, NKP is S-2 PM is N-1. It's what I got, and I have called off the repaint for a long time, cause its so confusing compared to other models.

Dont give up that easy. You need to forget about the other engines in that folder. Make a copy of the one that says default and use that one as your clone re name it whatever you want. Then what i think Xdriver is saying you can copy the files you have already done into your new engine clone folder that way you don't have to start all over. When it asks if you want to overwrite the files just say yes. Like Buzz said the white wall for the tires is on Loco5 this is also where the white is for the running boards or whatever you call them. Its at the top of the sheet in the center a little white strip.

I need the Marquette Roman font, so if anyone has it, please PM me. If anything, right now I'm going to do the tender, Does anyone know how to get the NKP lettering off the tender?

Ugh, I think I'm going to need XDriver or someone who knows what they're doing to do the engine, I can do the tender, just need the fonts and a little guidance and maybe after that, more berks will be coming! !*cheers*!
