Some screenshots of my progress, today im working on the prairie subdivision which is on the east end of the railroad.

caught one of the RMR locals with a RMR GP9 on the head end and a MRL geep trailing, rare to see MRL on the RMR but not unheard of.

So here is a little update on Where the Locomotives are used on the route and where they will be placed in future service when newer units are purchased.

Here's the breakdown for all of the RMR locos, the C44-9W's are currently restricted to the coal trains as their power is needed there, the SD40-2W's are the main haul locomotives in the mountain subdivisions, they do the coal trains and any of the long haul freights in this region and they rarely are seen in the parries for now. the SD40-2's are usually found in the mountain subdivisions but the odd time they are found in the parries, they do most of the local runs in the mountains. the GP9's are mostly seen in the parries or in the major yards doing switching, the SD7 bounces around doing any local or short haul work anywhere on the network and is frequently used for MOW work. the GE44T is permanently based in the small yard that is on the ends of the second and third subdivisions, the SW1500 is permanently based in the yard on the West end of the network and does some local duty around the town. the RS11's do the same as the SD7 except they are most likely found in the parries.

Now for what it will most likely be in the future; due to a drop in coal demand the brand new units that the RMR was looking at is completely out of the question. It has been decided that the RMR will purchase 10 SD70MAC's from BNSF. these will take the place of the SD40-2W's which will be pushed down to do the duty of the SD40-2's and those will be changed to do most of the major work in the prarries which will force the storage of some of the GP9's that were giving the RMR trouble. RMR is now looking at getting some C40-8's from NS to help out in the mountains with the SD70's. that is all for now. (note spellcheck keeps trying to make me spell prarries wrong)

Looking good, will be ready to try the route out.

I plan on continuing on my NYC Division 1935 route soon, but before I can do much on it I need to build some more buildings.

So I want to have a little vote on which of the three types of locos should the RMR invest in to update their heavy haul roster.

the choices are as follows:

C44-9W (gull wing cab) (ex BNSF)

SD70MAC (ex BNSF)

SD75I (ex CN)

Perhaps you should release a beta version for now like some others have done.

not for a while yet, I've basically got nothing to show other than miles of track without scenery. I've only got the mainline 80% done and most of the major yards. only 3 industry's are built so far and that's not enough imho. I might in the future but I would like to get more trackwork and scenery done first before I even think about a beta version.

ETA of the route: no schedule, just doing whatever I want whenever I want to, maybe we will see something later this year but no guarantees. I actually want to go on my old PC and package up the other routes that I have and upload them to the FL for others to finish, again when I get around to that is unknown?

well I guess its gonna be the C44-9W that is chosen by the RMR as the primary locomotive in the mountain subs. RMR might pick up a single SD70MAC and a SD75I for testing purposes though.
