I have a few spurs to a few industries and plan on adding a few more. And I was planning on making plenty of farmland, haven't quite gotten to it yet. Trying to figure out how to get terrain textures from different routes without making the ground dissappear. I'm thinking of making a little unincorporated town in the middle, so that's where I'll probably put an elevator (I actually hadn't thought of that, good suggestion). Thus far I have branchline a mine, that I'll be turning into a quarry soon, a logging camp, two spurs to factories of some sort (still gotta decide what they both make), a spur/storage track for grain cars that runs right into a farm field, trying to figure out a way to make that a grain loading area without putting up a huge elevator, a branchline to a furniture company, and I'm thinkin' a few more things, I'm trying to maximize the space without cluttering it up too much.

I'll do some smaller two story and three story apartments. Do you have any screenshots of apartments of office buildings you would like to request to be used as reference for building the buildings.

That'd be cool man, thanks, and I'll snap some pics of some real world buildings for ya when I get up there over the 4th of July. Gonna pay a visit to the steam excursion running in Laona hopefully too!

Here's a basic rudamentary map, with accurate track, and my best attempt at accurate placement of water.

I hope so! I'm realizing how short it is now though :/ Kinda want to make it longer but I dunno. The max speed limit is 30 and that's only for a little while, most areas it's 20-25 with some 15, and some 10, and the street running section has 5mph limit, so hopefully that'll make it at least SEEM longer *!!wink!!* . Hoping to be able to include scenarios and some custom rollingstock with this, but I may need to employ the aid of a seasoned scenario builder...*cough*

Update! Slowly but surely making some progress. Here's a newer area with a spur.

That looks cool. I got kin that live outside of Townsend (just off County T) and not far from where that big tornado went through about 4 years ago. I would love to see a line running through White Lake by the old mill (that track has been removed and made into a 4 wheel/ATV route). It would be fun delivering timber to the mill (makes wood floors now).

Looks awesome, especially the town run-through! Where did you get the Canada grain cars from, they'd go very nicely with my scenario!

white knight - Dang it's a small world! I'm posting from the internet cafe in Lakewood right now! Our neighbors up here have family in White Lake too. My buddy and I paid a visit to the steam operation in Laona yesterday, will be posting pics in the Jungle sometime soon. Hopefully being up here will give me a second wind now that I've kinda slowed down my work on the route.

usernametaken - the repaints can be found at digi-rails http://s1.zetaboards.com/DigiRails_Forums/index/ and the base models are in the library here if you don't already have them !!*ok*!!

My cousin lives right across the ATV track (old rail road right of way) from the mill. His folks have a place a couple of miles out of town off 64. His place is killer for watching the 4th of July fireworks at the lake. Our family always have a big family reunion at the lake over the 4th of July weekend.

Whiteknight- very cool stuff! hoping to get back up there soon and perhaps explore the trail. Small update, Added more trackage, a spur to a lumber camp and a new logging branch serving two (maybe three) camps that interchanges near the lumber mill. Here the outbound lumber train passes under fresh cut logs from Goblirsch Camp #3. The logging train will bring the logs to the mill once the lumber train clears the connecting track.

Chugging along on the route. "Tree-ification" is taking most of my time. Trackage at the site of the sawmill and almost all of the logging branchline is done, just a siding or two is missing. The branch serves three different logging camps and links up with the main near the mill. From there the fresh timber goes to town and occasionally to the furniture company and the logistics company that handles some of the local goods, as the roads near the mill are 1) not in condition to handle 18 wheelers and 2) too full of normal traffic to accomodate trucking. Here's some shots of a CN GP9 bringing the timber to town and making a set out atLindner Logistics North

Can't wait. This is exactly the kind of route I like: old diesel, short runs, lots of trees, local industry. And in Canada too!
I do hope you can find a scenario writer. This road begs for a couple of dozens of light road switching scenarios.
Congrats, and good work!

Thanks! Yeah, I suck at scenarios, so I'll definitely need help in that department. But it ain't quite Canada, but close enough. Seems like a lot of the railroads here in Wisconsin are run by Canadians anyways. Lol. But for real, 2 Canadians (CN, CP) vs 1 American (UP) run through my area here outside of Milwaukee. Fortunately CP runs a ton of leasers, smaller CP EMD's, SOO, and DME/ICE power through here, but we still do get the monotony of the big red AC4400's and ES44's :P. At any rate, I hope to have a beta out before the end of the month!
