We've discussed it, we'll likely include two animations. One which opens at a platform with the T key like any other, and an additionally mapped key that will lower the stairs for low platforms. That's subject to change of course, but that seems the most logical approach.

Mapping the keys is a very logical choice. This is what is great about RW2. The ability to script.

Also I'm not sure if you saw this on the AEM7 thread, but their is a dvd that contains diagrams on most of the rolling stock and engines for the NEC *Amtrak of Course). So it is a reference you can buy for 9.99 in US dollars, not sure how much that is in British pounds. Check it out:

RailfanDepot is a great site with awesome service.
Tim, the owner, even sent me trackcharts as pdf because the postal rate would have been over $50 to europe. !!*ok*!!

Alright guys, who can find a good shot of these? I've exhausted all my usual hotspots and I'm still coming up short.

The rest of the under-frame detail is coming along, although I'm not 100% about some parts, so do flag up anything that looks wrong to your eye.

OK, I am starting to loose it. I saw this and thought to myself "Why is he using Bill's repaint as a guide?"

That's an Amfleet II also. Only one door and larger windows. :)

I was pondering whether or not to acknowledge that, but yes, I only used that image as it was the clearest example of what I was trying to build. :D

Sorry I was knocked out for a while.

Ok here's the thing, be careful not to get confused about where some of the parts for the underbody is suppose to go. I had to look at the direction of the train to keep me from getting lost so I will try to make sense of some things. And don't use Amfleet II's as an example they are different.

Awesome. !*brav*!

Now what about the café-car? I hope this will also be done (basically it's just one or two windows less).

Any tricks under your belt when dealing with the ribs to lessen the moire effect look from a short distance away?

Can you turn the Car the other way and take pics? I want to see what that side looks like. Also can you build a second car in compliance with the handicap law. There should be a handicap bathroom on the right side of the car where passengers load on the station, as well as a space in that same area for handicap to park.

Thanks for doing the Amfleets my dreams are being fulfilled.

Yup, that's the next job once this is complete.

Just trial and error, really. I tend to use CrazyBump for generating my maps, so it's very quick and easy to modify until it's right. Lowering the mipping distance to -2 in the materials goes a long way to smoothing it out, keeps the uncompressed map in view for longer.

I'll get one posted up when I get into the office tomorrow.

As for the disabled units, is it simply a case of revising the interior slightly? If so, are there any drawings or information available as I'm not entirely sure where they would be located from your description.
