I'm surprised they didn't come to us sooner on this, i'm sure alot of us would be able to help out. You just can't cut corners on this. They came to us on their Train projects. My feelings are hurt lol *!sad!*

I'm honestly really scratching my head here.

The NEC was first announced in December.. 6 months later the first WIP we have is just basic track laying without a single piece of scenery. The Amtrak license hasn't even been acquired yet (pixelated logo).. Is this some sort of joke? Beside an AEM-7 and Acela which is nearly complete, the route itself is being presented like it was just started last week.

Try to keep an open mind about this, and keep hope alive.

I would recommend RSC take a trip to the US and ride on the NEC and experience it for themselves so they have a better understanding of it from our perspective.

Now we have the confirmation:

COMING IN LATE JULY: NORTHEAST CORRIDOR & AEM7!
Available from late July, the Northeast Corridor Expansion Pack will be a huge new route for RailWorks 2 Train Simulator. Running all the way from West 30th Street Station in Philadelphia through to Penn Station in New York City, the NEC will bring superb US high-speed passenger train driving to RailWorks 2 fans everywhere, beginning with the EMD AEM-7 electric locomotive which is included with the route. The Swedish-designed AEM-7 ‘toaster’ was built by GM’s Electro Motive Division specifically to haul passenger services along the busy NEC, making it right at home with a rake of Budd steel-bodied cars as it stops off at the many stations along this large and complex RailWorks 2 route. The Northeast Corridor Expansion Pack, complete with AEM-7, will be available for RailWorks 2 in late July. Well I'm glad they reconsidered the date. I dunno if I can hold on so long without riding those Amfleets. I guess they won't be release before the route. I literally bored with RW because there isn't really anything new to do lol! Anyone need Beta Testing?

I also think and this is a suggestion, that the Acela Express be included in the Route Pack. So I guess it would be that and the AEM7.

The Acela was announced as extra pack for the beginning of July. Maybe they also delay this one now.

:) Nobody panic...

The track is default Ox padd and not NEC. The order in what we work on assets/content may not be the ones you expect to see first.

It will all be great trust me, sit back, grab a coffee from time to time and enjoy the view of the progress.

As for why it's late, well lets just say we have had our hands full. More on that very soon. (and I think you will like it)

Cheers

Derek.. You have to understand.. While RSC and the forums here have a nice relationship together, we're still outsiders. We know nothing.. So when official WIP of a route are shown without any context, we're going to assume that's really what it is.. So if you show a WIP shot of just tracks, we're going to focus on the tracks and assume that's what you have planned because there is nothing else to even look at. (Or context to read)

No problem Bill,
Always the problem of showing wip shots, however folks want to see progress, progress is what you will see, and you will see unfinished stuff.
Just the way it is, comments are all good, feedback all good, but you will not always see finished stuff.

Hopefully you will enjoy the good stuff we been putting together. It is a big route full of big assets!

cheers

Derek

Well I'm glad someone can put it into context, but as bill says we are out of the loop so we can only assume this is what is being presented as is. I hope you guys can continue to come to us for help on this or anything related to American railroading. I'm pretty good with french TGV stuff. I bury my head in books on foreign railroads.
