Update: I am going to start off with a simple name change since the real route is known as the Lafayette District of the Illinois Division.

I am also going to relay the track and start over to have realistic terrain, as well as taking the route farther than originally intended so that the route is bookended by two NS yards.

The route now will extend from Peru, IN to Danville, IL, and maybe further in the future. *!!wink!!*

I just want to make it clear that the route is still in the works! Progress is just slow, I pretty much have to build the terrain myself due to the track charts making the track go way high above the base STRM data. However building the terrain myself makes it so that I can have it as close as possible to real life (or at least as close as Google Earth's terrain gets to real life). Fortunately the route, for the most part, is mostly flat. However it does get hilly around Delphi and Logansport. Here are a few screenshots of the new and older versions of the route.
New Version:

Old Version:

As you can see, the track work is a little less jagged, and the scenery has terrain now. The progress is slow since i am just one person building the route so far. But hopefully everything will run smoothly.

Keep chuggin' along and you'll eventually get there. Looks good so far. I like the improvements you've made. !*salute*!

After a long hiatus and toughening through some difficult issues, this route is making a return! I have been working on a fair amount of scenery since my return. (which in reality was like 3 months ago)
So far the route is still in it's germinal stages of development, since I am just one guy building a 190 mile route. I have some screenies of scenes I have the most progress on. (These scenes are still lacking in scenery a bit, but I know how to BS a camera *!!wink!!* )

The route is being built to track chart specs with all custom terrain (I decided not to do custom terrain. Too much extra work). So far the route utilizes two payware routes, Stevens Pass (original) and Marias Pass (and a lot of freeware). I do not see this route coming out in the near future. It still easily has two years of work ahead of it. But as long as we fight the good fight, it'll make it there!

Any questions I will gladly answer!

Small update: I've been continuing the tracks down a little ways, and have made it back to Lafayette. Something else I have been doing is 3d modeling.

The route layout as of current:

I have decided to model some definable buildings, such as the ex-Monon shops in Lafayette:

I will also be 3d modeling the Amtrak station in Downtown Lafayette as well as any other notable buildings.

Still a lot to do, but the passion I have towards this route gives me the motivation to keep going!
