You mean only the one GP40-2 model, right?

Yes.

Ah, okay. That's disappointing. I guess this won't be that much of something to use for repaints then....

Pardon me for being a 'glass half full' kind of guy, but a few days ago anybody who did not already own the GP40-2 was SOL on ever getting their hands on it. Now, here is a chance for everybody to have and run it, for free no less.

There are plenty of repaints that can be based off of the configuration of this model that do not violate it's terms of use.

No. It's based off of the VRC model. The free ones I know about are based on a different model.

We have two repaints of the VRC geeps in the file library: KCS and SP. I'm not sure if there's any other ones out there on other sites.

You folks have totally confused me. This will include the Geo so you can take this thing and do re-paints without having to add anything. One assumes that these existing paints can be adapted to this model even if a little modification might be required. Why the complaints?

Those are the only ones I've seen anywhere. Would be cool if these current repaints work with the model that Buzz is working on.

You are still confused. I'll try to explain more:
1- This is a stand-alone engine. It contains the engine model AND the RWA livery.
2- Anyone can make repaints for this model and distribute them, except for liveries already sold by VRC.
3- Existing repaints for the VRC engines can be adapted to this model.

Glad that the VRC GP40-2 is coming to RWA for free. I wanted to get the paid pack for a while, but was hesitant to because I usually buy TS content on Steam, and not on non-Steam third-party sites, to avoid potential risks... Although that may change as I am looking more towards RRMods for their amazing work that's worthy of giving my money to them... ;)

I am not confused, I fully understood what Buzz said. I am disappointed that this will not include a GP40 or a GP40-2 with a more traditional cab interior. I've been wanting to do a number of repaint with VRC's GP40 and GP40-2 for a while, but for them to be accurate I have to have GP40s and GP40-2s without modernized cabs and without air conditioning. I understand that I will be able to add/remove child objects with the GeoPcDx files, but that doesn't solve the cab issue or the issue with this being a newer version of several of the locomotives that need to be painted if I am to make this pack.

What do you have in mind besides getting the AC gone?

How is the texture mapping? Is it complex or pretty straight forward? Because I would love to see this locomotive in Norfolk Southern scheme.

They already had a nicely done NS GP40-2 for sale, so I believe that would prohibit you from making one.

Basically, I need a unit without digital displays and gauges, and preferably a cab mounted three or five chime horn. What I really needed was to get VRC's repainter's pack, but I was a day too late to acquire it after it had been taken down....
