Well I modified the cars to have a dark roof like the prototype and then discovered that the roof only appeared dark after it got really close for reasons only known to the modeler as usual. If you want me to send them to you I will and you can see if there is anything that can be done to fix this. Or if anyone else has any suggestions........

i think i solved your roof problem, not sure it can be fixed though Buzz...i was trying to fool with a WILW raint and trying to get alpha channel right, for me i noticed that if my alpha was too dark if you placed the train close to the camera it would show up normal, but if you placed it farther it would go dark, not sure this is your problem, but might be something for you to test

EDIT....its not the darkness for me its how its saved it seems, not sure how to fix it, im using photoshop
call me night, or fire, or even nightfire :D

I think this thing is ready for a beta check. Who has the EMDFP7Pack01 and would like to take a look at this for me?

By the way I'm going to upload the G-Trax cars today. The other set that goes with the Zephyr is still a WIP.

I can go back and make the roof light again (not prototypical) and then they should look OK.

I wouldn't mind that, since it's already been made for model railroaders:

yes! doing a serie is easier when you have done a first one ...
1. you know the different zones to repaint and you can establish a template.
2. with either Photoshop or Gimp, the use of layers is TOP. i.e. with Photoshop one can duplicate a layer and save directly to a new .pds file (quite versatile).
3. think you layers as independent modules which can be used and reused....
4. the alpha channel is another powerful parameter, although a pain to use with dds conversion.

That being said, Buzz is cranking TOP locos and wagon repaints ... keep up surprising us !!howdy!!

When I get this thing cleaned up I'll do the Seaboard one also since it's the same paint scheme just different signage.
