Thanks for the feedback! I was actually aiming for an engine running through windy deserts for a very long time, eventually creating the one shown here.

Now that I actually look at it, I think I may have over killed the weathering, except for the ash on the hood.

Create a layer for each of the weathering you want to do. One for dirt, one for rust, one for dust, on and on. Then you can use the slider to fade the layers till you get the desired effect.

Yes, the textures will replace the originals, so make a backup if anything goes wrong.

Before Alpenfreight's weather mod was released, I was looking at the Stevens/Marias Pass ES44DC, an the colors were correct. But it was only recently that I finally put this project underway, because Buzz is the most helpful person on the forum. So I could finally recolor the engine.

This project is not dead!
20160918211836_1.jpg

Something dumb. All dash 9's look to the default's trucks, which are weathered. Oh well, we'll have to deal with it.

Won't be doing the NS one. The NS one looks fine IMO, and the BNSF ones needed the most love anyway. *!greengrin!*
So I declare the Dash 9 texture and lighting enhancement complete!
