Also, I think I found the pics that you were talking about on your Facebook, Rick.

There are some there, I have more if you need.

Not entirely sure what happened to NEGS #2. It was originally an Army unit then went to work with the Wolfeboro Railroad and the Goodwin Railroad, who were the two operators of the line prior to NEGS. I think it went to the Winnipesaukee Railroad and was still there at least until 1999.

Here it is in Laconia in 1985.

More pictures are always nice.

As for the GE, someone over at railroad.net said
"As far as I know, the Lakeport enginehouse is home to the state owned 44-tonner, and a Laconia Car Co. trolley pulled from the woods somewhere, though things might be different now."

Wonder if it is still in the NEGS paint scheme?

They also said back in 2012 that the state is trying to get more rail serviceable industries north of Concord, so that should be interesting if they are still trying to.

It would be nice, haven't heard anything concrete except a rumbling about a state contract for road salt years ago. They deserve more freight, their owner Peter is a great guy and worked hard to get NEGS to where they were before Pan Am took most of their business

If you know where they would have or should have put the road salt facility, I could place it in as another spur.

I don't think it would have been a separate facility, probably just offloading at their headquarters. I think they were hollow rumors with little to no basis unfortunately

Zack, looks good so far! We are slowly amassing a fleet of NEGS locos.
Rick, that's disappointing. They do honestly deserve more freight, almost makes me wonder why the bridgewater power plant and Persons Concrete a bit north of that don't use rail. Maybe it's too far away from NEGS's facilities in Canterbury?

Got some more work done on the route, focusing on Laconia and Lakeport.
Image
The bridge next to Hebert Foundry and Machine in Laconia. Places like these are what I like to call "Photo spots" as they might have a bit more detail than other parts of the route. (I know the far left part of this pic is missing scenery, I am not done yet.)

A view of the Laconia Car Company buildings and the caboose behind Pitman's freight room, a function hall made out of the former freight depot of Pitman Manufacturing.
Image
Lakeport draw bridge. This bridge is still a WIP, as there are a few parts missing.

More pics. I have just about finished up Laconia (Note: No station) and I'm about 60% done on Lakeport.

So, I have a new plan of action for this route, since it is taking a while.
I will complete and release it in stages.
Stage 1 is Canterbury to Meridith. That way, you can have the NEGS facilities in Canterbury, the Winnipesaukee scenic railroad facilities in Meridith, and all the stations and industries in between.
Stage 2 is Canterbury to Concord, home of the Pan Am interchange with NEGS.
Stage 3, I haven't decided if I will do it at all yet, but it would be Meridith north to Lincoln, home of the Hobo railroad and the Flying Yankee.

Would you like some NES-RR rolling stock? If so, what? All I can find online is locomotives.

Sorry, but Rick is already working on most of the rolling stock repaints. However, that doesn't mean you can't do something else to help.
My route also has the Winniepesaukee scenic railroad, and I don't think Rick is working on the coaches from them, so you could always do that.
Not just coaches, though...
