Really looking forward to these. Hope they will come in CN, CP, and VIA. VIA still uses a couple of these.
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)

Hi,

just to let you know that this project isn't dead... quite on the contrary, the RDCs (1-4) are on their slow but steady way onto RW tracks.

Cheers,

The SP only had one RDC in it's fleet. Number 10, It mostly ran in Northern California on the Northwestern pacific on trains 3 & 4 http://www.snowcrest.net/photobob/rdc.html Sometime during the late 50's early 60's the car was involved in a accident with a log truck & sp just blanked the damaged end off leaving the car single ended. http://www.snowcrest.net/photobob/rdc22.html Here is info on the car from the Southern pacific passenger trains book http://books.google.com/books?id=QxYx-i ... nt&f=false

Didn't realize SP had just one. It would be nice as a collection piece. Unfortunately my route is not going anywhere near the old NWP lines (but who knows maybe one day) and the Oakland area will be too modern to support it.

These images are really something! I remember the "Buddliner" in Boston & Maine livery, growing up in Salem, MA, they ran just outside my grade school on the North Station-to-Rockport run. Any chance these will be made in B&M colors? Image here:

Thanks for the look into your work. !!*ok*!! Very interested in seeing it in RW3!

(When they passed out brains I thought they said trains and I've had a one-track mind ever since!)

An adaption of this type of railcar also ran on the Trans Australian railway at least as far as Woomera, but possibly further. These models would be ideal for a reskin into either a Commonwealth Railways or Australian National appearance.

The line itself would also be magical to have for RW3 :D

The RDC project is still at hand. Michael and I have both had busy summers so things slowed down a bit. However, now that fall & winter are quickly approaching (we should have more time and) activity should inprove somewhat.

Here's another render...

Have a sparkling week.
