Hey, this was a JOKE. *!rolleyes!* !!**sorry**!!
I have nothing against CN. It was just an allusion to your name and logo. The same happens to me: I'm always the BNSF guy. Amazing, isn't it? *!lol!*
No if he has the time and data why shouldn't we get a SD70I? I'm OK with that. Every new engine is good, so we have more variety.

Thanks LordMannu.

I found a decent picture here, I think this will help me.
In case anyone's wondering, there should be four different variations in this pack.

Regarding the SD70I, how can you visibly see the difference, if I were to do that loco, what would be different?

ok, what would be different on the SD70I compared to the SD70M. well notice the line on the side of the nose that runs over the whole nose, that is the VISIABLE isolation. the other isolation spots are not visable on the outside. i got this from Wic:

"The SD70I is a version of the SD70M which has been fitted with a cab that is isolated from the frame of the locomotive with rubber gaskets (officially known as a "WhisperCab"). The isolation reduces noise and vibration from the prime mover. A seam is visible across the nose and on the long hood where the cab connects with the body. 26 examples of this model locomotive were produced, all for Canadian National. The WhisperCab feature was incorporated into some SD70MAC and later models. Numbers: CN 5600-5625"

ok, i guess i was wrong, only CN had them. just search "EMD SD70 series" on wicipedia to get info on all SD70's. it also has a table of contents on who bought what kind of SD70 and how many!

Looking here, there is a difference with the lights, and the nose is split, then there is an extra wiper on each window, and an air hose. Does that seem to be it?

basicaly yes, and in that "cut" there will be a black rubber seal, and the same thing right where the cab connects to the long hood.

I can't find what you mention here, can you point to it in a picture?

There is no BNSF SD70M, but there is the CN SD70I

in this picture you can clearly see where the cab is seperated from the rest of the loco because of the difference in the discolouration from weathering.

Okay, so it's just these two locations that are different?

for the isolation on the long hood side, it goes all the way to the top and over. don't forget on the bottom of the cab there is isolation too! here is a poorly drawn picture of everything different that i know of. i hope you can read it as it is hard to write using paint.

I'm kind of confused. Are you going to make both an SD70M and an SD70I or just one?
