That's a lot of rock and texture work... the landscaping looks ver-r-ry realistic!

Still a bit far... You would have to model the joint-line too...

Yes i will.
if war will not begin, i'm from Ukraine. Scary about my kids. What a stupidity!... but... not in this thread, sorry.

Well, i want superelevation too, cause i like it so much.
If i'll make a decision to do it, then it takes a lot of time to rebuild all the route.
I must think about it, and it depends of number of users request, so vote if you want it.

**!!2cents!!** I'd like to see the scenery done on more of the route before we worry about redoing the track.

Did Tennessee Pass even have superelevation?

Hello,

I guess I'd just like to voice my support for adding superelevation to this route. This is a train simulator, after all, and so the trackwork should play a very important role not only in operations but in the scenery itself--well-laid tracks certainly have a beauty of their own. Also, consider that implementing superelevation would also require putting easements in, which play a crucial role in real-world operations; so much so, in fact, that many model railroaders add them to their own layouts! I might be alone on this one, but I find trackwork to be the most interesting aspect of the scenery in train simulators, especially when it's laid to real-world standards.

Thanks

EDIT: Great job on the environment updates, too, especially the rock/cliff textures. As a Colorado native I can assure you that you've captured the look of the Tennessee Pass area very nicely, which is all the more impressive considering you're overseas!

I strongly agree on both points!! However, re-laying all the track on an already built route is a really big job fraught with headaches at every turnout along the route. Points of tight scenery, bridges, tunnels, or stiff curves along hillsides can create extra scenery and terrain re-work. I re-built portions of the Alleghany with easements and superelevation after the feature was introduced, but some sections remain flat anyway due to the complexities. All the effort resulted in only a modest improvement overall.

I'll cast my vote to wait with any super elevation until other work is done. Tori's comments, along with that of Buzz are compelling reasons for not rushing to the task.

Thank you for your efforts, especially in light of the political climate in the Ukraine.

You can add superelevation the swift and easy way through the trackrule.bin and tracks.bin files, like Bermudez has done to Cajon Pass. However, there will be no easements into the curves, so the trains will jolt violently. To include easements will need you to redo most of the track, but when one ever plans to do this, one should also consider to make full use of the ScaleRail system, and use mainline, siding, yard, spur, bridge and tunnel sections where appropriate. In its present state, there are still traces of Trainsim.com resident route builder and master improver to be found in the code.

Just installed the v2 route on my test installs.
