History of MillCreeck
Hi all, here is a little update and history on the B&M and the NHT in Millcreeck, i hope everyone likes it.
1. B&M and NHMR (New Holland & Millcreeck Railroad)
The first B&M terminal constructed in MillCreeck, was build in 1859 it was located a mile north of the current terminal, seen in the route and excisted out just only one track. It was a very simple station. Things changed when the NHMR (New Holland & MillCreeck Railroad) showed up in 1865. With the plans to build a Railroad from New Holland to Millcreeck. It would take another ten years, untill the construction of the railroad would start. The NHMR build his own Terminal a bit south (at the current position of the B&M terminal) and started operation on the line between New Holland and Mapleton in 1869, and 3 years later in 1872, between Mapleton and Millcreeck.
In 1879, the B&M decided to move their terminal toward the NHMR terminal, since a lot of people transfered from the NHR to the B&M. A small cöorperation was born between the 2 companies. The B&M bought 55% of the shares in the NHMR, and became the biggest share holder in the company. The construction of a 4 track terminal started on October 23th, 1880 and the was finnished in March 5th, 1882. The NHMR and the B&M now both used one terminal in Millcreeck, which made it a lot easyer for the passengers. The B&M bought even more shares in the NHMR in 1885 and the B&M now had 90% of the shares in the company. Trains would not run under the NHMR flag anymore, but simply under the B&M flag. The NHMR was now mainly a company that only excisted on paper.
In1896, the B&M Sold 80% of all their shares from the NHMR, to a group of local investors. Things went terrible for the Railroad line under the B&M and Passenger's dropped rapidly.

2. NHRR (The New Holland and Riverland Railway Company).
in 1896, a group of local investors bought up to 80% of the B&M shares in the NHMR. They saw a big oppertunity to make this company alive again. The Terminal in New Holland was moved to where the current NHT Carbarns are situated and the connection to the B&M terminal was closed and removed. The Passenger terminal was now a bit more into Downtown. The company Name was renamed to the New Holland and Riverland Railway Company. Trains where still operated by steam, but that would change in 1897, when the Electrification of the line began. It was finnished in 1898, when the first electric cars drove from New Holland to Millcreeck. The B&M terminal was still used by the NHRR in Millcreeck, since most passengers transfered to the B&M there.

3.NHER (New Holland Electric Rr. Co.) Terminal in Millcreeck.
In 1902, the Company was renamed to the New Holland Electric Rr. Co. They started with the extention of the mainline through Millcreeck, to South Woodland and Perth. Since the B&M had it's own station in Perth, they didn't want to cooperate with the NHER. The company decided to build it's own terminal on the Mainstreet. The Terminal is located north of the current B&M terminal and the trains needed to run trough the Mainstreet of Millcreeck to get there. The Terminal opened in 1907, the same time that the mainline extention to Perth was opened.
In 1914, the Branchline from South Woodland to Bakerton was opened, giving the NHER a nice electric railroad network. The B&M sold the last 10% of shares in the company in 1915, The NHER wasn't welcome on the B&M terminal in Millcreeck anymore, but the company had a stable income with the new mainline extention and two branch lines. The B&M terminal was now used for only a couple of trains a day. One platform and track got removed, three of them stayed. The B&M tried to open it's own connection between Millcreeck and New Holland, but it was too late. The car introduced itself in the 1920's and Passengers dropped on both sides. The B&M had only Three passenger trains in both directions, in 1925, and went down to only one passenger train in each direction, in 1948.

4. Cöoperation NHT and B&M
The NHER went bankrupt in 1954 (due to mismanagement), when the New Holland Goverment bought up all the remainings to extend the life of the network. There are still a lot of people who are using the Railway line. The new owners of the Railroad wanted to focus on passenger transportation and stop with freight operations on their network. A deal was made with the B&M to take over all the freight operations. The NHT would also serve the B&M terminal again. A new platform for the NHT trains was made on an old unused track. The B&M constructed a new shop, for their five GE44ton locomotives in Millcreeck, which was finnished in 1955. Not much has changed since then in Millcreeck. Except that the B&M terminal has seen better times in it's life...

And of course all of above is fictional and made up :P
