I know he passed, he is sorely missed. I really want to keep his assets on the route in memory of him. Though I don't know how to approach the updating of his assets, his readme's instruct us to run repaints and modifications by him to get an okay. I don't know what to do! I really want to keep his work around, but I don't want to have glowing buildings *!sad!*

There will unfortunately be no updating to those since no one here has the original source. But if you have pictures I'll make some new barns and silo's.

Or you could ask Great Northernor, but at the moment he's quite busy and probably won't accept a request.

But here's what you want though, I'll finish this, add a ladder on the side, and then upload it to the library as a side object. Will redo my old water tower and include it with it. Once finished this will at least give you a proper silo.

If there is an alpha layer then there is some hope of fixing the major glowing parts (like the walls).

Here's a little more progress on the Silo, I'll make two versions, one short and one tall.

Here's version 1 of the Silo I've made for your route.

Silo Version 1.jpg

Once I make a couple more I'll release them in a couple of days.

Also, if you like I'll also make a set of barns.

If you have any specific water towers, or even houses in mind that you'd like to see for the route I'll do those as well.

As long as you make a great route in return.

Shi, I don't know if you have or have run Lonewolfdon's Kings Arm Highway route, but there are a lot of commercial buildings he uses that might come in handy. I'm sure they are all freeware, or if you ask I'm sure he'd let you use them. Might be worth it to have a look at Don's route. It's free, here in the file library.

Your route is really coming along nicely. With JP's help, it can only get better! !!*ok*!!

I had King's Arm on my old computer, thanks for reminding me! Totally didn't even occur to me till now, though I knew my list was shorter, as I recall it was a pretty cool route. So far the only payware in use is Rich Garber's excellent variety of buildings. I already have permission from him too. Might get a beta out soon. The scenery is coming along, but logistically, I'm lost. I'm doing okay with the signalling, but I can't make a standard scenario to save my life.

There are a few good scenario writers out there now. Doug (heavy Chevy) is one bright, new star. Maybe throw him a Beta of the route. he's written a ton of stuff already, including a bunch for Ohio Steel 2. I have all of Doug's other scenarios, it's all top notch (altho 540 minutes was a bit long for one scenario !*hp*! )

More progress on Hillcrest Lodge coming shortly from me, just having some difficulty getting it in Blender, I checked the backfaces were all good, colored the whole model a solid grey as Jp says to do in his tutorial, exported as a .dae, but when I import it only parts show up at different angles.... !*don-know!*

Blender act's that way to me as well. I believe it's just how blender is because the model exports fine into 3d Crafter. As well, blender isn't the easiest program to use, I never could learn how to use it, that's why I'd always stick with 3D Crafter.

As well, here's another version of the silo, heavily rusted and aged.

Here's the current system map:
Image

And here's the part of the route with the most progress:
Red= Finished
Yellow= Under Construction
White= Just track and some trees
The blue mark is about where I plan on cutting this section off for a beta, then I'll move west, which will be mostly farmland, the main town and yard, and interchange with a class 1

You will be able to use my silo's in your farmland, and I might also make a well. I'll make some barns, but they'll be the old fashion kind, without glowing windows at night.
