ET44C4 wrote:Minerman, those are some of the best freight car repaints I have seen!! Excellent work... (And you're only six weeks in!) **!!bow!!**

How the heck can I respond to this?

Im not talented - I am highly personally motivated.
In my little time line, plan thingy, I was supposed to do this after I hit the finalize button. All I am doing is repainting - no route. Every day I see BJ tower where i stage my repaint shots ... I also go to work and sleep too!

After this post I am going upstairs to my office work to on my super special forgotten railroad of coolness bonus car. Which i cant get done cuz I cant find where the hell the ladder texture is to paint it. ( I have a request out to my mentor)This was supposed to be released 5 hours ago - now HE is building stuff. (he got the Erie bug)

Anyway ET44C4 I hope these things do what they are supposed to do - Thank you man!

I am pleased to announce that all the repaints have been packed up and sent to my mentor for processing. You will find out who he is shortly. As we await the publication I would like point out that there will be 2 packs: The 11 Boxcars at 40foot and 3 variants of the NE5 Caboose painted to appear as the Dunmore caboose I keep talking about.

I am attaching this screenshot as teaser. All the units in the picture will be in Box Car Pack.

Im, pooped and got chores to do and I will post here as soon as I get the word that we are a go for the repaints.
Carry on!

I see Bunsen and Beeker are at it again! I' actually getting to like and understand (as well as resemble) Waldorf and Statler !!jabber!! I do want to mention some stock here. Although it doesn't come from Minerman labs, it does look quite nice (despite the subject livery). So, for you're enjoyment:

These "goodies" are all part of the Penn Central freight package that was available from Trains and Drivers when the PC-EL-CR GP35 pack when it first came out. The rolling stock repaints from MML, though, are every bit as good if not better, but I doubt that any PC material will come out of the, since they do need a test subject. *!lol!*

Jostrep! It is ALWAYS good to hear from a true friend of the Bergen. You know, some times I just cant get enough PC in one day. Even I the Minerman has been known to drag a few PC cars around for fun. After all that I need a little action, we got some interesting stuff cooking for tonight. I am testing my industrial switching QD for the New Jersey and NY branch so we can use the new caboose. I hope Joe that you will join me and switching some out in Carlstadt today. And lets see if you can figure out what box car goes to iCandy!

I call this shot - "the smoking old girl' kinda like Ann-Margaret cept she doesn't smoke. Well she's smokin but not in the cigarette way. *!greengrin!*

Its the grass and the really marginal brakes. (took me a mile to stop it at 37mph

I gotta stop I'm having too much fun.

These box cars out OUT.OF.CONTROL

In all seriousness, and I just build this route an don't drive it nearly enough. But this ... THIS ... is a completely WILD experience for me.
I hope its that way for you guys too! Just wow! !*cheers*!

*FYI - I am lurking on this page ... I have EXTREEMLY happy about Golden Age of Rails and The Bergen!

This might be the best thing since the merger. Two Great Railroads:

And: Golden Age of Railroading and the New York Division Bergen Line:

Head on over here: http://golden-age-rails.com/index.html to get your mitts on some fine equipment.

I want to personally thank Michael Stephan for being my mentor. So, now, as Paul Harvey would say....
And now you know the REST of the story.

Equipment came out great! And sooner than expected might I add. Downloading for a test run as we speak!

While I'm here, I thought I'd share this piece of EL history I thought you might find interesting, particularly if you hadn't seen it before. A gentlemen on one of the EL Facebook groups (which if you aren't on already, I'm surprised) posted this the other day and I thought of your rolling stock endeavors...

FB_IMG_1555305659074.jpg

Evidently this was an "express" boxcar, which was used in passenger service to some capacity, that had since been reworked for freight use. Unusual for sure, but the EL maroon/grey looks good on just about anything if you ask me...

CGBlaze - My first reaction is "oooooh, that's what happened to those". And you are so right, you can slap Gray and Maroon on anything at it looks good. That facebook page is very good by the way I lurk there when I can. What is interesting in your shot is the NIRX box car to the right... I am still working on color matching.

What is on my mind is the Harlem Station and these 40 footers to use. They are PERFECT when paired with RudiJagers 44 Tonner. Currently I am reworking markers for SPIN at OVSrails so he can do a marshalling scenario. I will let you guys know when its up. I will make one myself to - to populate the little yard here.

Now that the box car pack is out … I was wondering if any of you have a screenshot of the "BONUS" car that I spend all Saturday working on!

Rudi, 2 things.
1.Did ya figure out what the"special" was?
2. May I see what happens with your 44tonner alpha on a box car? Ooo or the caboose?
If that is bad form do say so. I was looking closely and it has this granular luminance that's interesting and clever!
