Did you know that a TS2017 Crash dump can clear the entire contents of the track.bin?
YOU BET YOUR BIPPY IT CAN.

This is what your route looks like after that happens.

Do what the Minerman does - Backup Every Night AND check that your backups are working.

This time I was able to restore and only lost 5 hours of corrective track work.
Careful painstaking track work I might add.

I have no knowledge personally about the area, but I get a deep level of satisfaction out of RW scenarios that use proper train symbols.

Below is a complete list of NS symbols circa 2012. You can use the search function for locations such as Croxton, Suffern, etc... to find symbols for the local trains, or through trains. There appears to be several. As far as specific operations of each local, you had best keep searching for an expert.

Hope this helps.

Being a NS fan, I certainly can try to help locate any info needed. I will say, it's been tough to nail down concrete info regarding NS symbols. But since there isn't much NS action west of Suffern it shouldn't be too hard.

I will compile information and add that to the operations guide. I have found you tube to be helpful as well.
The EL and Conrail jobs I have primary source information for, which will be interesting.

Yeah YouTube helps a lot since most of the railfans on there use scanners. I usually then compare to any other info I can find.

I can report that I did get in touch with Sully and he possessed information that is essential to further development of the Bergen.
Now if how would get those scenarios going....

Route update - work continues. I will be posting another letter update (those signify fixes) as I have been messing around the ingress signals at each end of Suffern/Hillburn yard. Things are not working as they were with the cleanup of the track and signals. The best way to describe it is that all the signals seem to be interacting together more. This is good and bad. The good is obvious - you can see them working, the bad - you can now see the one's that are not. So, the fixed have been all I have been working on all week. Any issues with the Ordinary that come up, I am transferring that knowledge to the Bergen. (ie. ensuring all platform markers are extended to the ends of platforms ) Speaking of the Ordinary - 800 subs/77 up votes in 10 days. Very encouraging. It appears that the Ordinary is attracted people who never ran the Bergen before - their reactions are priceless. The Bergen also improved in its rankings and we are now a "five star" work shop route - even with all the issues! I encourage all of you route builders out there to just get those WIPS out there - either here or on Steam right now. Before TSW comes up - now is the time to draw attention to your work! Congrats to the NERW Lafayette team for getting their beta out, it looks like its going really well. New Content - people love it !

Tonight, I am double/triple checking some more signals. Then, I will return to the Town Of Woodbury for more scenery and points West. So stay tuned. !*salute*!

Between your Bergen Line, Tehachapi Pass beta, and the Lafayette preview... I hardly even touch any other routes these days! Keep up the awesome, hard work that you're putting in! !*cheers*!

And entire week of track/signal fixes for ingress to Hillburn/Suffern. It works in a way that was thought out. You may not see it ... but it is. I am now on a different, more advanced level with signals that before - this is good. I lost another 20 hours of scenery building, but NOW I can go back to Central Valley.

Route Update Number 154
New York Division-Bergen Line 9.8.5g:

Additions: Replace Bridge over the Passaic River at Hawthorne, NJ

Fixes:
Signal Fix Sloatsburg 32-2W, Update all platform markers, Signal Fix 32-2, track break on Hillburn Xover and Hillburn Yard Lead. Extensive signal testing at 32-2 and 31-3. Westbound entry to Suffern/Hillburn shows divergence from track 1, from track 2 entry requires SPAD. East bound entry to Suffern/Hillburn does not show divergence by design, it shows Red/Red, entry requires SPAD which will be granted.

*ROUTE ANNOUNCEMENT* The Minermen are pleased to announce - Good News and Bad. First the bad. Update #155 will be deferred to 1100hours GMT-5, 14 Jan 2017. (13 is bad luck) The Good News: We are very excited about the release of the EMD GP35 Pennsy Pack by "Travel By Train". This included the following livery: Erie Lackawanna, a black train and a blue train! AKA Penn Central and Conrail. We worked very hard on the project with the developer (we groveled, begged and pleaded) and they did the real work. Head on over to Trains and Drivers to get your mitts on some genuine transition era locomotion. While your there pick up the FREE US-Freight Car Pack.

These are the units that the Minermen are going to build some Croxton Ordinary scenarios with. We also encourage all our scenario building pals to join in and get their 1970's on!

NYCCO.JPG

So, get the units that are featured on the title page right here on the New York Division: Croxton Ordinary, we will leave the disco ball on for you.

*Side note* The PC units are completely inaccurate. In our extensive beta testing, not only were the units clean and did not smell like a combination of cigars and old socks, we had a zero percent operational failure rate. This is NOTHING like the real Penn Central. Just sayin.
