We were both on the correct track for a freight run ... track 3, right down the middle. In the progression of your images, its clear, you were on track 3. Enlarge my first picture ... track three is green!

The reason why that signal on track 2 in that photo of the coal train is red is most likely because that signal is the distant to WC in real life. It would NEVER display a clear in real life unless the dispatcher has an eastbound lined. How the distant signals work on the Bergen County Line is that they are ALWAYS approach lit (meaning always displaying the approach aspect) unless the dispatcher has a train lined through the junction. So technically...that signal at Allendale should be displaying an approach. So...the reason why it is probably displaying a stop indication is because that is how the Sherman Hill signals work.

Sully! Thanks for having my back on this. What many of our friends don't know, and you know that I know, is that on the Erie you don't run against the main!. You need train orders to do that! So for testing I always run East on Track 2 and West on Track 1. As long as my signals run will like that I'm good. However, there are micro-breaks and track breaks on the Bergen. They are the bane of my existence! I was testing Waldwick to HB and everything went great to Broadway-Fairlawn on approach to BT I got swung over to track 1. NOT GOOD. That means track breaks so, in the past two sessions I relaid the track from Broadway to Plauderville and reinstalled the Super EL that starts at Midland Ave. Now that ran pretty will in testing, but something new, and good is happening. Instead of Reds on the opposing track I am seeing greens and this is new to me. Well the I see a yellow and red on the opposing track by Garfield. At this point, I know what I am doing and I inspect each track segment closely, and waddauknow, I found 5 more track breaks after BT with the last one at the end of the curve near Curtis Wright. This is where only one of the two rails has a break in it.

I want to go back to scenery as soon as possible. But I cant leave known track breaks on the Bergen..... **!!bang!!**

When you get a chance do an inspection from Chestnut St In Waldwick to 1000 foot east of Ho-Ho-Kus.
Your gonna like what you see!

I am pleased to present the first shot of the final prototype GP35 in glorious Erie Lackawanna paint on the Bergen line.
The developer was kind enough to send information so that you get your hands one of these beauties!

The locomotive is produced by Travel by Train
It will be released on the Trains and Drivers site for purchase.

Its my understanding that it will include a piece of rolling stock. I can attest that the item is being built from scratch ( I saw the cad model) and will also be painted for the Erie Lackawanna!

It is also my understanding... you better be sitting down for the this one! Its my understanding that the developer will be creating some scenarios that will be for... I cant believe it. There will be scenarios for the New York Division Bergen Line that feature this locomotive. So all the track work that has been going on is about to pay off. What I have cleaned up will not be worked again unless some major flaw is uncovered. As bonus work, I will be staying up all night Wednesday and Thursday to rework Hillburn Yard. This will most certainly help with a scenario. I hope Jalsina is sitting down.. this means freight scenarios on the Bergen! Soooon!

As a small aside, do note I was charged with a bit of EL research and was able to identify the Leslie SU-3L-R Horn that was used on these units. I am almost 100% sure we have the right horn for this unit. It sure sounds right!

A big Thank You is in order for Martin who has worked on this model and kept this project alive. He was the first person I went to because I enjoy his work so much. Its an honor to have him develop these units for use on the Bergen. I am sure he understands as well as all of you, how much this means to the Minermen. We know this is a big deal. It is literally our dream coming true. Thank you Martin ! !*salute*!

That's quite awesome. I mean, the work put into this route, is nothing short of amazing. And to have a route with the amount of dedication that's been put into it, I only wish I had your knowledge, skill, and determination to create one. You have pulled out all the stops, and it isn't even finished. So it is quite fitting that you had someone/people on your side to create a locomotive, AND scenarios for it. Congrats on this, Minerman! !!*ok*!! !*salute*! !*brav*! !!howdy!!

Perhaps DTM will be kind enough to release an Erie version of their upcoming SD45-2.

Both units work on the Bergen.
