Took some time to finally come up with a name and a title card for the route. So, it's now officially:

I was originally going to have it just red letters on sheet metal, but then I started playing with filigree...

I just stumbled across this project, and... Wow. It's been awhile since I had my breath truly taken away by a TS project, let alone an American route; not to disparage any of our hardworking countrymen, but five-mile container trains crossing flat prairie or generic suburbs can get banal after awhile. I think it may have been the sadly now dormant, presumed extinct, Taconic Hills Shortline that last excited me this much. Hell, even your logo design is awesome! Nice use of Letterhead Fonts products to create such an elaborate, evocative design.

Not sure how much I should say right now, don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I've been tossing around the idea of trying to learn Blender myself with an eventual goal of making rolling stock for TS, and one project pretty high on my list is 19th Century American steam, particularly from the 1870's through 1890's. Naturally, they'll need a home road to ride on, and something like this would be perfect. That said, I've barely even started with Blender; I can't even set a monkey's head on fire yet. But maybe in the year or so it'll likely take me to work up to making my first Ten-Wheeler or Consolidation this project will be similarly progressed and the two can finally meet. I'll say this much, it's certainly lit the kindling for a fire, now I have to shovel on the first load of coal. Thank you, sir.

Glad you like it! The route has come a long way since I first posted a bit over a year ago.

I hadn't heard of the Taconic Hills Shortline, so I looked it up. Looks pretty good as well!

The sign isn't using anything from Letterhead fonts, I can't afford $100/font :D

So, thanks to Fireexplorer, I have a lot more work to do. He showed me some nicer vegetation packs, so I'm going about replacing most of the grass and deciduous trees (which is a pain trying to sort through the layers & layers, & layers of asset blocks...). Hopefully it's worth the extra effort...

I could also see this being forwarded in time some to be set in 1935.

Isn't the original set in the 30's?

Some work on the logging area, I'm on the lookout for good stump assets, I don't like the MP ones.

Yes it's still alive, I've been working 6 days a week though recently (to-day is my day off).

Trying to catch up on all the money I lost when Covid hit (plus I have to finish rebuilding my car's engine and pay some expensive medical bills).
