Hi all thanks to everyone for their interest and support. Sorry I couldn't post earlier as you can imagine its very busy here. The cab is very close to finish and it's looking great if I don't mind saying myself. :D

I hope there is still progress. :D
I found a video featuring several AEM-7s arriving and departing a station. You can perfectly see how the lights and flashlights work.

I have a request for the model (which looks fantastic already!). Is it possible to add glass shine effects to the external glass on the windshield? This is something that has always lacked in RW 2. The glass just doesn't look right when viewed from the outside. Almost as if there is no substance/thickness to the windshield (like the engineer/s are sort of sitting out in the open).

Thanks for the consideration. Can't wait to pick this one up when it is released!

Hi guys,

Oovee is producing the sounds for this locomotive. Reference audio is hard to come by because most of the YT videos are chopped right in the place where I would like to listen! Anyway I do have a few questions for you all if you wouldn't mind answering:

- The general fan ambience when the locmotive is idling: Will this sound quit if the reverser is moved into the netural position as with the UK Class 86?
- The coaches: Is there some kind of warning alarm when the doors are closing (assuming they are automatic) if so what does it sound like?

Thanks and hope you can help!

That's awesome news. You guys always made great sounds, the Dash 9 was a great job.

Sorry, I can't offer more, but this video might help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7mbFiIH6-Q&feature=related
I think RSC has it on DVD. You can also shortly hear the cabsingal warning sound at 0:48.

And what would be nice: Wind sounds inside the cab at higher speeds. Just like in the UK Calss 86 for the WCML.

EDIT: The Amfleet's doors don't seem to have a warning sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq0f32p3A3I

I wish the radio chatter on this model was real Amtrak dispatchers talking. Like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwILOeCHYp0 The same old radio chatter gets boring guys.

While a nice thought, you can just use railroad radio. Plus you'll never the same stuff over and over..

Wilmington, DE Area Stream. Covers the NEC: 160.920 CTEC-3, CTEC-4, CTEC-5, CTEC-6 and all passenger/freight on the NEC

Just noticed this thread was bumped on the 16th... A simple request would have yielded hours of stereo AEM-7 recordings.

Yeah, but I guess the way I look at it is that we will get TS2012 for free.
