Sorry about the lack of updates. I've had a hard time with unwrapping various parts of the engine, specifically the cab. In order to cut out various things for the cab, I've been using the boolean modifier. What that basically does is it takes a shape that intersects with another and cuts out a hole, but it also has the negative affect of disrupting the way the faces are shown.
Cab Issue.jpg
As can be seen in the picture, blender thinks that median point of the face above the side window is in the window. The result of this causes a messy unwrapping. So I either need to find a way around the problem or I have to build a new cab shell, and if I build a new cab it's going to take even longer to finish everything. So I'm sorry about not updating everybody. !!**sorry**!! !!**sorry**!! !!**sorry**!!

With 3dcrafter you just delete the excess edge lines and points until you are left with 1 from each cut out.
Then it unwraps fine.
Hopefully one of the Blender guys will be able to show you how to do that !!*ok*!!
I don't use Blender yet so can't help i'm affraid.
Frontrunner in the file library now!

@Ryan9550 With how detailed that model is looking I hope you got a good plan in place to get that thing programmed to run as good as it looks. I've tried programming before and me and code don't like to get along.

I hope you'll be able to figure out how to get it running in the sim, but I must admit though, I've tried before and I never could actually figure out how to get it running down the tracks. I got a simple steam locomotive to sit on the tracks, but I was never able to get it to run.

Now I simply don't have the time for modeling of any locomotive since I'm buying a new car.
