Are there any scenarios for this?

Not until the route is final - I am still working on it. If you have the route - try the quick drives, they are stocked with static rolling stock and consists. Some actually have a purpose to pickup up freight and deliver to another location.

Finally, you went to Harriman! Well what did you think? Lush?
Thank you both - this keeps me building.

MM I would like to think the shots speak for themselves **!!bow!!** !*cheers*! !!*ok*!!
Honestly there's so much vegetation in most places it can be tough to get a good angle on the screen shot *!greengrin!*

I honestly haven't been able to put in as much time on the Bergen Line as I want to. I've acquired quite a few new assets for this game over the last month or so and have been checking them all out. Not to mention just keeping up with updates on everything I have!

I simply start to run out of gas when I don't get feedback. So, trust me, your images and comments are always welcome.

Ok here is this weeks update:
I have a request from DanielCohen to halt on any release. He has talked Matt P into running on the Bergen again. He says they will be running from Hoboken to Plauderville and then Harriman to Suffern. He created scenarios for Matt to use. (no AI on request - uh previous attempts crashed). Anyway look for that and all the goodness during the 24 hour of epic trains on http://www.trainsimlive.tv/. Hopefully I will be on when he broadcasts. I love his reactions to the route!

Route Progress:
As you know Jalsina has been sharing both his time and knowledge to help get Singals and track speed in tip top shape for future scenarios. *!!thnx!!*
And eveytime his posts something, I attack each issue with gusto. This completely halts scenery building! Its worth it though. So we have a mix of scenery and fixes for the next update. I might skip a week to get more stuff in for the next release. As you know, if you inspect the route you know that I am currently working in the Town of Woodbury which includes Central Valley, NY. I am working West to East, to force my self to work a 2 mile long chunk at one time. And the Woodbury Commons is another challenge. You may also know that slopes are not my friend in route building, the topo is everything and this section and pretty much everything West is bumpy, slopey and hilly. There work I do really attempts to convey the land and I think that's what makes the Bergen Special.

The shot below is a total WIP shot. This is Estrada Drive in Central Valley, NY and we are facing East South East. I zoomed in to add the depth of field so you can see the contours. You an also see that this is totally hand formed terrain to boot. This shows also that the route gets built in sections and sometime even subsections when there is an interesting area to work. In the end, I join the other finished areas together with scenery to complete.

Weird NYC building texture behavior:

Arrival to Hoboken Terminal

In the tunnel where you can see an anomaly (a zero speed) in the speed limit. I haven´t been able to identify the reason, but it triggers the over-speed alerter in the Amtrak P42:

Jalsina! You are a freight man, what is going on here? Great shots - big, big detail you are catching. The Hudson Generation Station is just ... epic!
I see that anomaly shot, that zero is probably a null over 15 instead of 15/15 on a track stub. I did clear all the 60/40 which were there from a track replacement project at Hoboken. Like you said " to test, you need to run over every track in free roam" That's the only way to clear those issues.

Hoboken was a truly intricate and complex job - just getting the track right and adding in some detail that DTG passed over was grueling. So, I am always happy to see that track in use. I will be back down there this week to give it another look see.

The Trainsim Live event was a blast ... I donated and got the Bergen moved up to 10 pm ... it was very favorably received. Matt is just a super guy.
So now I can update. Thanks to DanielCohen for his scenario

Yes I am a fully US freight oriented and not only that. I like long trains with modern powerful locos. However to make track tests you need to do it with short and fast trains. And running an Amtrak with that beautiful loco is not bad at all.

In my opinion as to decoration refers, this route is near completion. !*cheers*!
And you can´t place more stuff or you will get still lower fps.

I wonder if you are planning to place more tracks or this part is already finished.

I found an issue with the signals but I did not take note of the place (it may have been Ridgewood southbound). I did not identify the reason but a crossover diverging track was being displayed as a green over a red. Also there was a double crossover and maybe the signal should have had three aspects. There are not many like that.
The main issue for scenarios design are the speed limits. It is like taking the route for a couple weeks and not leaving it until all speeds are corrected.
I did this with the Feather River Canyon Extension (by dleeboy) some time ago and went well. I also fixed a couple issues with the original FRC part of the route. Unfortunately that corrected route was never possible to publish it because the route was not mine.

Jalsina,
I am definitely a freight man myself. The route attempts to capture all the operations of the prototype. To get the Norfolk Southern/Contrail Operations I have another 19 miles of track to lay. Doing that, creates a 67 Mile freight run between Campbell Hall, NY and Croxton yard. After that are the, what I call, "feeder", trains to deliver and retrieve cars from the stations along the line (Campbell Hall, Newburgh Siding, Suffern, Waldwick, Dundee Park, Carlstadt and East Rutherford). From those stations the road switchers take over and deliver to the consignees. In Mahwah, the Ford Plant will play a huge role in operations and that would be your most regular freight activity and you get yard switching there.

And the most interesting part, is that you have to run your freight operations while sharing your track with a commuter railroad.

If I stopped now - the route would be complete and only Campbell Hall would be absent. What I am doing, is trying to push as far west as I can in an attempt to get to Port Jervis, New York. That is the holy grail and would give you the entirely of the New York Division, 89 Miles of NJ Transit Running, some NYS&W pass through traffic circa 2001. Then I would copy the route and save it. The version of the route you see would be finalized. The copy would be reworked to the year 1972, Croxton reconfigured, Hoboken Reconfigured, Secaucus station removed, turntables installed at Croxton, Port Jervis, and Hoboken. The 19 Mile main from Hawthorne to Secaucus installed, yard and turntable for Patterson, NJ created and the old Lackawanna and Erie yards installed in Jersey City. Then and only then would we have my New York Division and the Erie Lackawanna.
At that point, I retire from route building! *!greengrin!*

So yes, were going to have some freight operations.

I have had issues with Ridgewood since I first laid the track and signals. The only way to get a Red, Green, Red was to either set a limited aspect or use approach control. If anyone knows what I need to do to get Sherman Hill Track and Signals to show divergence, I would like to know. I have been messing with these signals on this route, literally, for years. So, more trial and error is in store for sure. Going forward, I will dedicate one build session per week to work signals and what is left of any track speed issues.

Last night I got a few speed issues south of Croxton, along the crossings in the area and also into the yard (though did not run the full yard).
