These track rules look good to me.
If you have a "Maximum Main Line speed through switches of 30MPH" then this is a rule you could create for the signals speed limits when you have a diverging track (switch) (Red over Green at 30 mph for two aspect).
EDIT:
The micro speed limits as you call them will be easily visible in the HUD. Stop the engine just a few yards before and take a look why there is that unwanted SL change.

Excellent, I do have some time which I will need to learn scripting. Please assure me that proposed scripting would seamless be made available via steam down load. Then ( I am in a hurry) someone please paste the script here with settings and tell me where to put it *!greengrin!* I promise I am working on the correcting the mainline from Patterson to Suffern, for Jalsina to examine!

Jalisina, Would you mind if I asked the mods to move our discussion to My "scenario builders" thread. This conversation is prime for that location and may be of future benefit! ( I see that is where we started to talk about this there already) oh and do you have Munich_Augsburg yet?

Its Thursday so it time for the pre-update lowdown and of course a picture. We are all here for the pictures - right?
In the Image, below we have 4 of DTM's excellent GP35s in Erie Lackawanna that I had the opportunity to Beta Test. The unit is headed East just west of Newburgh Junction, in Woodbury, New York. Just look at the mountain profile and the trees!

We a had a huuuge side project this week - clean up errant track speeds and speed limit settings from Jalsina. It was definitely time consuming. Its 95% done form Harriman down to Hoboken, there are a couple of double slips switches to go in Hoboken. I also have marked Hillburn Yard for a complete relay (again) this time better I promise and the speeds will be consistent. The main line is rock solid and the Bergen also got reviewed, corrections made and tested. There was some track and signal replacement and I am pleased with the results. I hope Jalsina sees the changes and gives blessing to the work.

For this week, we have our track corrections and a good deal of topo work. Were in Woodbury, NY about 2 miles East of Highland Mills. Its tricky, this track is in a valley. The streets are terracing and you can see it from the train. Fortunately I just dealt with this for Harriman. I have to lay the streets out, match the elevations, use the snap to terrain tool and then smooth everything out. This I have to do before I can lay scenery. Its all about the topo. This means for now a minimal Western advance of scenery. So hang in there we prep for another big build of scenery to come in the coming weeks.

We are totally behind and off schedule here with work, but it continues... as always.

Route update is for 9am Eastern on Friday, Nov 4th.

Nice pictures.
I will post in the scenarios thread if anything related to speed limits.
It will be a month before I have my definitive glasses.

Jalsina, thank you so much for your advice and recommendations on correcting the track signs and signals I very much appreciate it.

And importantly I look forward to you being on the Bergen line once again

Well then I got home tonight and decided to repost this.

Ok, one more. If you are true fan of the Bergen this one should be no problem. And its obscure to make it interesting.
It will as total freak incident that let me to be in this place this morning at 1030 am.
This place I deem to be the single most accurate section of the route. And folks I did this with Satellite images, a topo map and google street view. Until this morning, I was never here in my life.

Totally freaking amazing.
And I am telling you right here and now - you drive around the Bergen for real, you will recognize places all over the route

NS and Jalsina - its great to see your pictures (that's how I know your running the route).
Finally, you went to Harriman! Well what did you think? Lush?
Thank you both - this keeps me building.
