I see that GP38-2 has no ditch lights. Could be of use to me with my Seaboard stuff. *!!wink!!*

It actually does, they are just hard to see. The ditch lights are below the walkway so a Conrail repaint or NS Repaint would work.

Any chance on seeing a KCS repaint?

I don't see that as a bad idea, since the UP GP38-2 included in the San Francisco route recently released has a design very close to that with the AC on the cab.

Awesome, can't wait to see it. With KCS being a Class I railroad, I am surprised at the small amount of their stuff that has been repainted.

Started working on the KCS repaint with the new GP38 from the San Jose add-on. Running into issues and not sure how to solve them. It took some time to research how to remove the Union Pacific text from the side. When I initially blacked it out, I had UNION PACIFIC in black text down the side. I am stuck trying to figure out how to resize and relocate the engine number on the side of the cab to make it smaller and bring it up higher. It needs to be in the middle of the yellow strip. I also would like to use the rear engine number panels, instead of having the engine number above the rear headlight. I also cannot get the KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN text down the side seeing as how the doors are in a separate location and copy over the engine base. Hope someone can give me some help finishing up this repaint.

That's easy! I just need the font.

I am using a standard Arial font in all caps for the text. Just can't get it to overlay over the engine door panels.

On the doors, type where you'd like the text to be. Then go to layers and duplicate layer. After that, copy and paste the doors onto the hood. You'll see 'black spots' where the hinges would be. Line them up, and then make the black transparent, that way the hood texture shows up in between the doors. Adjust if necessary. I am using paint.net.

I will have to test it. I am afraid that the text will be distorted on one side since the doors will run backwards.
