Just Learned to model, WIP

Unread postby Nitsujy12345 » Wed Mar 16, 2016 3:53 pm

*IMPORTANT APOLOGY*
A while back, essentially when I made this post, I outdid myself with train simulator, and at the same time started doing other things in my life. It caused me to essentially disappear from the Train Simulator community totally unannounced. Now we have a Stay-at-home order, and I’m somewhat getting back into it, for the time being at least. Turns out, I left a lot of people hanging. And I feel terrible for that, so I think it’s important to say most of what I posted as a WIP, such as this thread, were never finished and never will be. If anybody happens to look at this old thread and see this, please don’t hesitate to DM me if you’d like to pick up the work where I left off. I’ll send you whatever file you want, assuming I can still find it on my machine.
Sorry, and thank you.

I just recently learned to model, I thought I'd share what I've made, or am working on, so far. The first image shows cantilever crossings. These can now easy be positioned however you wish, and SMM's separate lights can be placed onto them in any way. The rest are child objects made onto existing models.

And this is a strange car. It came into my area in York a few times, and typically they store them here too. Heres a real life photo: http://www.nomis.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=4362461

You modeled the GP50? Nice! Will it be freeware and what will it require?

I should have mentioned these are child objects. All of these will be free, as they are just models added onto previous models.

Great work. Here's a load I made several years ago. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to share it with everybody.

Not a great picture but in the top right corner it appears to hold many rolls of cables

I think it would make an interesting sight to find on a route or in a yard, especially if the plow unit itself could be modeled too.

That's my problem. I would love to, but that thing is intense, and I have no idea where to even start on that

So the nose is a child object of the UP GP50 addon?

These are some great assets Nitsujy! Which model is the coil car based on?
