Vintage steam powered dock crane.

Something I'm working on to be a singular project until I can get some other projects I'm working on into Railworks.

The crane once finished will be as a abandoned static version as well as hopefully a animated full with smoke and sound to simulate a busy steam era dock crane.

This is the kind that would have had the control built into the rear part of the control car and the driver had to stick his head out of the window to see what he was doing because there weren't any front windows.

The machine would have been built out of heavy iron with a ton of moving parts.

Here's what the real thing would have looked like from this ancient reference photo.

Some more progress on the crane.

Started on the boom.

Still I might have to adjust the size of the boom some more.

Next is the iron mast that stabilizes the boom.
