By the way, I was able to find the idle sound and the horn sound from the real engine, so now the model will be even better since the sounds on it will be from a real Alco RS-11.

Have a look at these HD videos:

Some very useful photos:

Thanks, those were just what I needed.

It's going to be hard, but this engine will later see the light of day, perhaps sometime after this I'll be more ready to try a steam locomotive.

Truly, I hate the modern diesels, but I don't mind these classic diesels very much, this one would have been around in 1955.

Some more progress, got the inner wheel supports in and next will be working on the box that the wheel tip rides in.

But will have to find some more reference on the truck first though, I don't have enough.

Edit: I finally did manage to find a picture of the main frame of the truck, so at the moment I'm working on the frame, and have already rounded the corners of the truck to their correct standards.

Truly, I want to finish the truck and the traction motors before I start on the body.

I would give you my trucks from my UBoat, but after pondering how I designed them (for several months now) I want to redo them. There are so many things I have learned since starting them.

More progress.

Finished the rest of the main frame of the truck, next will be the other pieces and then the traction motors.

Will there be a low and high nose variant?

Thickened the center truck parts some to be more correct.

The Alco unfortunately is dead and as of right now I don't plan on finishing it.

I believe I have a much better chance with this Baldwin.

I'm working on a Baldwin AS 416.

Some more progress on it.

The Baldwin AS 416 was introduced in 1950 as a road switcher.

The paint scheme I'll be using is it's dark green Pennsylvania paint scheme.

Some more progress on the Baldwin.

Still have a long way to go on it before it will be finished.

Some more slow progress on the engine, working on the front and the back plow and then will start working on the steps.
