Rest???? What is this word? !*don-know!*

My second son will start school next week (my first has been in school for two weeks now). I have to have two wisdom teeth pulled next wednesday with a local (don't worry I had it done before with the same (omg I love this guy) dentist), my Aunt in law flies back that same night, and lets not forget about soccer practice, occupational therapy (also on Wednesdays), everyday house stuff, cooking, cleaning, diapers, bedtime... oh and work! !**duh*!!

Would you believe that building models is my way to unwind? *!!wink!!* That is why I was crushed when my harddrive crashed and took about a weeks worth of creativity with it (because I thought I backed up, but I was backing up something else). *!sad!*

Blimey :) that's a busy work load. I have recently had 12 teeth pulled out so I can relate to the joys of dentistry - especially with the joys of UK dentistry, haha we always get mocked for our bad teeth over here but now im all fixed up and i look like a god among men hahahahahahahaha but thanks to my type 1 diabetes i recently got (unusual to get this in your 30`s but it happened to my grandad apparently) i got free treatment, i dont have children yet but i will be working on that someday soon.

If you like then we will all pitch in and buy you a wee shed or shack to hide in for some solitude and sanctuary from when the workload burns you out again or just when u want to hide somewhere for half an hour with a beer :)

I am constantly looking for a job at the moment but times are tough, on my feet all day going from place to place getting blisters on my feet so 'im turning to railworks for my medicine to keep me sane but when on an editor for 12 hours at a time i feel a little withdrawn and really should actually play a scenario or 2 :)

you got my respect for balancing such a hectic workload each and every day. !*cheers*!

Papa's duties as a genuine papa instead of the father figure of this board. *!lol!*

Seriously, if TS2012 was a reasonable program that behaves as it should and does exactly what you want it to do, creating routes, assets or scenarios would be a joy.
Instead, even the most basic things are often a struggle, you spend so much time yet achieve so little it is frustrating instead of satisfying.

Topically: what does that No Guards No Lights sign mean?

Those signs look mean and sharp. Are they available to the community?

Thanks :D

Honestly I don't see half the problems that others have with RW (hence you don't hear me complain often), and I have repainted, built models, and have a very customized route. My beef with RSC has been with their quality. I was pleasantly surprised to have a conversation with RSDerek about this and most of my worries for the upcoming US route have been put to rest.

The "No Guards No Lights" sign is not seen too often around here, it means there is a crossbuck and nothing else.

And yes, you will see them up for download here at RWA. They are being QA'd now, so wait a bit just in case things need to be adjusted.

It is good to hear there is some formal contact between the company and its customers. No doubt you are our worthy representative and will be heard by RSC's staff.
By quality you mean quality per se or quality control? I cannot objective judge quality since I am not an original assets creator myself but I can relate to quality control.
It does seem RSC had learned from previous mistakes so I look forward to Sherman Hill with great anticipation.

Grade crossing warning for motorists or for the train crews? Crossbucks are in the traffic code of any state and any motorist should know what they mean after passing the driving test's theory examination.

These signs are for motorists. I see them on their own poles, or attached to a street light or utility poles.

How hard do you want me to laugh? There was a post here the other day about another tractor trailer that was stuck on a level crossing and was hit. Oh people know there are tracks, and the probably recall the sign as an afterthought, but HEAVEN FORBID they remember that trains run on those tracks. 'Operation Lifesaver' should have been 'Operation Make Underpasses'. I get honked at for stopping at the white line when I cannot clear the level crossing, and not only are there crossing guards, lights and signs, but an active TRAIN STATION a stone throw away. It goes to show what people care to know.

Laughing is good, relieves you from stress. *!!wink!!*

I wrote this with respect to what I thought was the meaning of that sign "No Gates No Lights". In built-up urban areas with regular rail traffic all of the numerous level crossing are guarded, signalled and protected thereby. In the US I see often normal street lights type of crossing protection, like for instance in those Jack London Square, Pasadena, CA. photos I posted in the Street Running thread. The regular participants in traffic know what to expect. Until the casual motorist wanders off the main road and enters a side street where a spur crosses his path. In that case he might expect barriers or gates and the normal traffic light style of grade crossing protection. So here he needs to be warned to stop, look and listen for himself for any trains by that particular road sign.

People in a hurry are often careless and downright stupid. And who isn't constantly in a hurry nowadays? *!sad!*

Jack London Square is a fun place to trainspot. I am trying hard to do it justice on my route. Believe it or not, there are several guards and lights protecting the area.

QA is complete, all installed and no errors here. Th FO warning loft (like all Lofts) wanted to put a post in the middle of my siding, but a simple move fixed that.

They look good, and having the bolt heads in the no post signs is a nice touch. *!!thnx!!*
