We've been in contact with American Heritage Railways, parent company of Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge RR, and we'll recieve permission to use all logos of the real thing.
Great, isn't it? :D

And even more great news:
We're looking forward to release the first version soon (which is no later than April).

Really great! !*drool*! !*brav*! I hope you are also taking care of vegetation, and choosing many of (new) reflective fogliage to make the route fully compatible with new headlights (in fact with any spot light and ambient emmiter light) to be played at night also.... !!*ok*!!

Some of the finest RW work I've seen. Congratulations! Can't wait. I also hope someone will backdate the route to 1936. This is going to be one of my favorite routes.

Signal Madness...

Image

I'm currently in the process of equipping the route with signals to prepare it for more elaborate AI operations. All signals are eventually going to burried underneath the surface. Dark territory, ladies and gentleman.

All signals installed and burried. RIP signal *!!wink!!*

Next thing on the list: foliage
The sections between Durango and Hermosa, as well as up the hill to Rockwood lack grass foliage almost completely so far. IMHO, naked terrain does not look so good.
Maybe you can guess from the picture what difference foliage can make. However, it is very time consuming to place all the small pieces. And it is 16 miles of track to go! !*hp*!

Sort of besides the point, but I'm guessing that last shot was taken at Junction Creek looking North? I recognize the shape of Animas Mountain back there in the distance... Y'know, I've been kind of disappointed with the terrain vanishing distances in TS2012, especially on routes where I know and recognize the surrounding terrain--the distant mountains in MSTS were nothing to brag about, but at least they allowed you to see farther than a mile or two into the distance when properly implemented. Any word on whether or not that'll be improved in the next release of Railworks?

By the way, great work on this route--it's nice to see my home territory represented so fully in Railworks...is there any possibility of doing a backdated version?

Cheers,
Eliot

I don't know the river name, but it is the one next to Durango High School and yes, it is shot looking northwards.

Thank you for the compliment. No, currently there are no plans for a backdated version. We still want to improve the existing one.
