More likely they made it and it comes with the route. So it probably isn't freeware.

I want that commuter train! I could see a fictional Metrolink reskin for it, as it's a close match to Metrolink's new cab cars and bilevels.

Will this route have (a lot of) limit track speed compatible with ICE's, I mean cruise speed most of time compatible with 186mph ICE's top speed?

And I hope also they are taking care of ground and scenery objects (at least) close to the tracks compatible with headlights of TS2012. It has been (to me) a bit disappointing run at night in some called TS2012 routes compatible (like NEC) in which most of objects are opaque (don't react to projected headlights), looking like if you are in a tunnel...

A guy wrote in the Aerosoft (developer of this addon) forum:

1304stephan wrote:The Track from Cologne to Düsseldorf is 40km long.

I don´t know, if the publisher do some km more. to Gerresheim, Düsseldorf Flughafen...

Fakts from the track.
You drive the ICE/IC on LZB with 200km/h and you need 25 minutes
No Stop for this trains between the citys.

The local train drive 160/kmh and need 10 Minutes longer.
They stop on this Track 4 times.

The S Bahn needs 1 hour and stops near 20 times.
the speed is 120kmh by Baureihe 143, or 140kmh by the ET 423.

What the devoloper do, i can´t say.
