Next car for the route, really need to figure out how to build a model of a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain.

What's the 50's or 60's without the Star Chief.

The Riverland Lines Public Alpha

Unread postby mrbob19 » Thu Oct 01, 2015 4:04 pm

Hi all,

A little update from my side. Due to the fact that i'm going to go back to school to become a Train Engineer in Germany, i won't be able to work on this route for quiet a while. The study will take at least 6 months, and maybe more to finish. In this time i'm not able to work on my project. I will release a public alpha on RWA on the next few weeks, so that everyone can enjoy the route (as far as it is completed). I will inform about which payware assets are used with the release, although i can tell you that there aren't many ;)

I am not abandoning this project, i just need to take a big break from it due to a study!

I just heard this news myself today, and i'm very excited but also a bit overwhelmed. I just came back from my vacation to the UK! *!greengrin!*

Cheers,
Bob

mrbob,

Congratulations and good luck with your new studies!

We look forward to your alpha release in the coming weeks. Could you please point us at the source for the PCC cars? Can't really do without them.

Thanks for all of your hard work and perseverance with this route.

Next project, hopefully before the route is released I simply must get something like this built for it, a proper 60s era bus.

Hi Jack, Those PCC car's are for download on UKTrainsim.com!

I'm still polishing some things up, i don't know if i have enough time to put the new car lofts in the route but when that is done, The route will go public.

Question: Is the catenary a tool with auto placing wire? Or does the track have the wire over it and the pole are just scenery?

The new traffic loft in action, once it's placed on the route it will really bring it to life.

Still waiting on Bob, he said he was doing more on it, but for some reason he doesn't want to post progress here any longer, I have no idea why.

The file reference is UKTS 27515. Richard Scott is the author. It's a 12MB download.

Kind regards,

From what I know the route is indeed dead.

A long while back I lost contact with Bob, haven't heard from him since about the project.

I released the custom assets with the O'Dell County Route by Zach Ehlers.

...Cheers...
