Here's a pic of the reduced route. This could be a working route. The only problem I have at this point is the track was laid with 3 arc second terrain. I have since found out that all of Canada is available in 1 arc second. So now in tons of places the track is way too high, not sure what I'm going to do now. This route could be done; all of Winnipeg, two CN, one CP line going to Thunder Bay in its entirety. Total track; 1500 miles.

Oh my oh my oh my, how you just made my day by reviving this. Personally I'd say only redo the area from Saskatoon to Edmonton as that area has lots of hills and such, the rest is relatively flat in comparison. (personal experience from driving along those lines multiple times as proof) if possible change just major sections that cross rivers and such but if you can do it without needing to touch the res I wouldn't. If any help is needed around the Edmonton area just give me a shout, it's where I live so I obviously can get you pictures of what google can't get.

I hope you don't give up on the route. I am one of many Canadian Train Simulator fans who was so looking forward to Some or all of this route after drooling over David's videos from the west. You guys where doing amazing.
