Well based on the part of the route he's taking on, expect a lot of flat farmland with small towns and strung out groves of trees due to this stretch following along the Platte River basin. The key to making the route more interesting is how much of the agricultrual support industries he models along the route as well as the Bailey classification yard and branch lines.

Either way, this route should be fairly modest in taxing the hardware. He has his work cut out for him. This section of the Overland route is roughly 300 miles in length. That's why he is splitting it into two routes. The first half of the route appears to be at least a year away from completion. Good luck to the man. He is certainly ambitious and appreciated for taking this project on. Kudos to him! !!howdy!!

Will the part that is covered by RSC's Sherman Hill be included in the route?

It won't even come close. There is a 200+ mile gap between North Platte where his route ends and Cheyenne where the Sherman Hill route begins.

Having ridden 844 from North Platte to Cheyenne, there isn't much there so it would be easy enough to model. It's a good prototypical racetrack for 844 to really run. I have always wanted to simulate a trip being able to depart Cheyenne from the east but until some sort of extension comes or I do it myself (pfft... and I know I won't have or patience for that...) that will remain a dream.

That line that runs between Cheyenne and Sidney (then Sidney to North Platte), is the UP Sidney Sub. I've been up there before and I like the scenery of it. I've been to Archer Hill that is only about 10 miles east of Cheyenne, here's a pic of what it looks like, at least when I was up there.
