Did you create your own track rule? Two items of note that I had to deal with which you may want to look into were track spacing and minimum curvature. I ended up using a spacing of 4.27 meters and a minimum curvature radius of 27 meters, (corresponding to approximately 90 ft. radius), on the North Shore Line. The radius corresponds with the standard used in Chicago on the L, and the track spacing places the ties of the open deck track section end to end rather than overlapping, while leaving enough room for trains to not sideswipe on the curves.

Had a friend create the track rule for me, unfortunately I couldn't figure out the track rules and actually get it to work.

Also the supports aren't lofted either because I couldn't get them to work in the sim as a loft without crashing the sim.

Decent I must say, in most areas it runs decently for me.

Still looking at replacing some of the buildings though to make it even better.

Going to be doing a ton of more work on my route, my new pack Inner City Classic Buildings is all for the progress of this route.

The year is 1970 in the metropolis of the NYC Division. (New York City fiction version.)

I had to unfortunately though take down the skyrail since I couldn't find any decent skyrail track or skyrail lofted bridge structures, also I couldn't make a loft successfully and right now I could really use a good tutorial on making a lofted object, (since I wanted most of the route to have a skyrail system running through the big city.)

...Cheers...

This is a route I've been planning on modeling for years ever since I started modeling vintage urban buildings and skyscrapers. The route will be all freeware and will run through giant urban cityscape.

Also, all of the buildings were made special for this route.

Will be doing some new buildings for the route as well and it will come with a ton of new custom buildings including the Waffle House restaurant.

The crane however is default.

The route isn't dead yet, just been working on assets for use on the route. But all in all the route has been progressing slowly, now got about 2 miles worth of track and scenery, more scenery to come and then some other assets such as footbridges and signs throughout the city.

That's a lot of buildings, JP! What I would like to know is if you've got the night textures and lighting worked out. I would love to use some of these in the CNS&M, but night lighting/ambiance is something I'm looking for...

Unfortunately there isn't any night windows or night textures. Since I never could figure out how to do them and a building this size with night windows could overwhelm the sim.

Anyways, if you put the spotlights on the sides of the buildings it would be just as good if it had night windows and I'd be more than happy to send them to you early.

Like they usually say, can't be too picky when it comes to a freeware route, I would just put some lighting on them and they'd still look great.

Also, a interesting question for the fans. If you had a vintage shop on the route with your RWA name on it, what would you like the building to look like. Now taking some requests for some special Inner City shops with custom signs. The only catch is I will need you to make your custom sign for your building and it has to be square, then I'll place it with the Inner City Classic Buildings pack and the buildings will also be seen on the route.

Also, the buildings won't be limited to size, it can be a small 3 story high small town store, or it could even be a 50 story high department store, going to be doing some extra custom buildings to brighten up the route even more, buildings with custom signs.

...Cheers...

Big J

...One of the custom buildings for the route is now finished, would anyone else like to join the party and have yourself a model of a store on the route, such as Big J Shopping Center.
