SP SD45 Freight Car Brake and Coupler Fix.

Unread postby Ericmopar » Mon Oct 14, 2013 2:10 pm

I put up a fix for the DTM SP, SD45 Freight car, couplers and brakes.
I didn't do a fix for the engine couplers, because it uses the standard "Type-E" folder structure and a person can copy and paste in any Type-E folder they like.
New build. i7-7700k, MSI Z270 Gaming M5 Mobo, Hyper 212 Evo, Corsair DDR4 3200 Mhz RAM, Klipsch Pro Mediea 2.1 Speakers, Samsung 850 Evo SSD, HAF XM Case, Asus Strix GTX 1070 and Cooler Master Storm XT Keyboard.
Slick with Pretty Rainbow Colors.

The same fix applies to the SD45 high hoods I presume?

They have too much slack and springyness in the couplers.

I will look over your fix and apply it to the NS SD45 and cars, The car couplers have connecting brake hoses, so I''ll copy those couplers over to the engines.

Thanks, Eric.

The car couplers dont have the correct "Type-E" structure.
The coupler fix I think will work on the couplers in other SD45 DLC, but the brake fix might not.
If a person copies the .bin files for the SP freight cars into the folders of the other SD45s, they might find it will crash, or if they have the SP SD45 DLC, that all their U.P. SD45 etc cars are suddenly Southern Pacific!

If someone is going to try this fix on a non SP SD45, DLC, then they should backup the files for the other SD45 first.

I don't own any other SD45 DLC at this time, so can't do the experiment myself, but I would be interested to hear if this patch works on any other SD45 DLC.

Your welcome.
Nice rig BTW. I have the same Z77A-GD65 mobo with a i5 3570K and Corsair 1600 LP RAM.

I'm using the Brit-Kit Buckeyes in my SP SD45. The hoses actually connect with the car couplers hoses.
