Mike D's Wig-wags, are they still in use today ?

Mike D has very generously released a freeware model of some grade crossing Wig-wags, now, being British, and even though I have seen them in operation on various American TV programmes over the years, I just wanted to know from you knowledgeable folks if these are still in general use today, and if so, are they all over the country, or, just in a few select regions depending on the Railroad.

Thanks.

!*cheers*! ex-railwayman.
